Fulton was put on report for lifting above the horizontal tonight

what were people's thoughts?

Didnt look good…..comp game would probably see a player cop 1 or 2 weeks....I'd say both our next 2 tria;ls are NRL sanctioned games so if he cops time he should cut that time out then

Don't think Fulton had a good off-season. One good break with a good Benji ball, but plenty missed tackles, falling aplenty for Thurston's dummies, couple of loose carries, and that stupid tackle.

Hope he cleans up his act, this is not how I hoped a Tiger would play in rep games.

Yeah it looked nasty. He will probably miss our trials.

Speaking about being on report/suspensions, how didn't TLL get pinged for his 'knee-leading' tackle on Morris about 3 minutes after he put the ball down. If that was in the NRL it would have been a penalty try and he would be missing at least 3 weeks IMO.

I don't know why he would be pinged for that. You can relate it to Gibbs incident and all..but that was a genuinely huge error by the officials. TLL is a big man running @ full speed, he had to go down, there is no way he could've done anything else.

You can't go into a a player on the ground leading with the knees. It's simple. He didn't even need to attempt to tackle Morris anyway, he had already scored.

Agree with you there Ink. It wasn't pretty at all and I'm seriously wondering if the MRC will take the trials into account and could possibly give him longer.

In all honesty though he has no one to blame but himself. It truly was a careless tackle.

Big man little man running fast or slow, theres no mitigating circumstances, he hit him with knees, Steven is correct

It wasnt a rep game

It will be given careless not reckless so that should help him.
Saying that though it was bad, and I wouldnt be suprised if he missed the first game of the season.

Was a wild tackle, but dangerous & no need for it in the game.
Fair call by the ref, I guess…

On a side note, did any one see Benji & Thurston's hand shake at the beginning ?
Looked like Benji wasn't too keen, lol.

Pretty tough there brother…. Can you get on down to training this week and see if you can work this stuff out of his game?

We have a long year ahead, so we will all appreciate your help, Cheers

Fulton looked good out there. Never had a great view of the tackle and no replay was really looked at. It did hear Gus say that it was a good tackle and shouldn't have been a penalty. Doubt Fulton will miss the star of the year.

If the NRL is fair dinkum TLL should get 5 weeks miss 2 trials and the first 3 comp games for the very late knees in the back.
