Gag him please!

Nothing wrong with Benji throwing his support behind Robbie, when I read that I thought this can only show that the team is united. Have a lie down swisstiger and read the article again you may see things differently.

The reporters ask the questions. Sheens answered it and Benji answered it. They didn't chase the reporters, the opposite. Stupid thread

Deadset this bloke loves the sound of his own voice! Personally I think he has better things to worry about rather than Robbie being a must for the Blues. I have lived in Switzerland for the past 9 months and my only contact with the League is what I read on the online papers and the live stream of our games on a weekly basis. Not a week goes by where there is not an article written by him or one quoting him on one of these media platforms.

How about worrying about your own form champ and living up to that so called SUPERSTAR tag that gets banded about whenever someone in the media speaks your name.

I love the bloke, but seriously I think he needs to take a step back and forget about his media gigs and concentrate on what has got him to where he is today in the first place.... His footy!!

At 27 or 28 years old (not sure of his age) he is one of the leaders in our club and needs to set an example.... More footy and less limelight is all I'm asking.

Why can't they both play? Start Ennis bring Farah off the bench. Stop the feuding, bring the blues together. Pick on skill and passion, Qld does… Works for them.

Sorry forgot it was a Benji bashing thread.
Benji is a champion, wouldn't expect anything less from him.

Mate your 100% right, but no matter how ordinary his game becomes people will always make excuses and defend him, for some reason one flick and a few no look passes and you become untouchable.

3 try assists and the winning field goal last weekend. That is all.

If Qld has two blokes fighting with each other in the press (Lindner and Vautin comes to mind ) we just room them together Problem solved

I think people are missing swiss's point.

The topic here is out of all peoples (Benji,Farah, Sheen )concerned control….we should be focussing on our team and the problems we're currently facing, in case most people have forgotten were not exactly smooth sailing at the moment...but as a high profile player there is also media commitments as well as focussing on the team and next game, its a hard life being the NRLs poster boy

Anyone else think "georgebeema" is a player?

I dont know if he is or not…but he is 100% right.

I have only noticed 4 people so far back Robbie for SOO. Sheens, Marshal, Tallis and Mitch - I just porked a pussycat doll - Pearce.

Everyone else is falling in line with the wishes of the brainwashing illumni of the NSW FOG's lead by Bob Fulton.

He is right. I can't get the link in the OP to work but all this seems to be about Marshall backing his captain to play rep footy? I notice it was okay for Des to back Ennis for SOO but apparently Tim Sheens needs to mind his own business? Marshall was stuff either way - if he backs Robbie he cops this and if he doesn't want to back him we get all the player split/rift rubbish…

I think it is good for them to be stumping for a genuinely talented player who is in their side.

It will be the only voice on his side. You can guarantee that clueless pea heart Dean Ritchie will be lubing himself up for a Ennis circle jerk as we speak now Buderus is ruled out

Oh and add Cameron Smith to the list of people backing Robbie

Also note that nobody has a problem with people mentioning Woods. It is just against Farah

Sorry, yes you are right Smeg. The best Hooker in the game, who has played against all of NSW's options many times at different levels has backed Robbie.

@Goose said:
Did anyone not find it strange that with all these coaches saying "pick [insert player from coaches club], he is ready for origin", that Ricky focussed only on Sheens for his tirade. Flannagan, Bennett and Toovey have all done the same as Sheens and now Benji have done with Robbie, wonder why Stuart centred his attack on Sheens.

Bennett pushed the case of Timana Tahu for christ sake

Yes I did think that. Sheens was only giving HIS opionion like many others. I think it got too personal for Stuart, when Sheens quoted him. Good on Sheens and Benji!

Greg Alexander has too, now.
