Gallant injury

OMG 5 to 6 weeks
that is terrible
we need the mighty mouse out there
not only his attack and defence, but how him not being there will affect the sides mind frame
he is as safe as a rock…moltzen would be ideal there but we need him at halfback
this decision on who will replace gallant will make or break our season.
Morris cant come into the starting side thats a given, and if that happens then well the reaction form the fans will be very bad
i think that moltzen can be replaced in the halves, dunley? anyone keen on this bloke coming in
but i think moltzen is needed at fullback and he can still chime into the attacking line
im not too keen on hanbury coming in at fullback, but i do think he can do the job
its a very very tough decision and will make or break our season

pretty sure that Collis & Morris want big games in front of there new coach

id be happy for hanbury to get the gig.
as much as i would like lawrence given a go there, i wouldnt do it at this stage and think the minimal disruption would be the simple hanbury in for gallant, lawrence in for collis (who no doubt is a double agent these days!).

yeh, but hopefully their opposites they will be competing for a spot with next season dont try to injure them (although collis does that well enough on his own)!!

For those who haven't seen it:

**Wests Tigers fullback Shannon Gallant ruled out for five to six weeks**

Wests Tigers fullback Shannon Gallant has been ruled out for five to six weeks after x-rays on Monday confirmed he had fractured his left leg.

Gallant hobbled off the Sydney Football Stadium midway through the first half of the Tigers' 17-10 NRL win over the Sydney Roosters on Sunday.

The in-form fullback has fractured the fibula in his left leg, ruling him out until at least the second week of the NRL finals.

The Tigers are currently seventh on the NRL table but locked in an eight-way tussle for the final four places in the finals.

2 options in my opinion, Hanbury straight in or Moltzen to one and Lewis to 7.

This is very bad news for us.

Hopefully sheens plays lawernce at fullback and keeps motlzen in the halves with benji and collis in the centres. Instead of the following:
1.Moltzen
6.Morris
7.Marshall

What are the options in the lower grades in terms of specialist fullbacks?

Based on what I have seen in firsts this season I would play Hanbury at 1.

i think if the halves are disrupted, its most likely going to end in disaster.
The only thing that might save us if robbie fires up like all hell.

Deadset in the last 2 games are attack has been flat out disappointing. Counter-attack very good, Defense Excellent. but we have to be dangerous inside the 20 as well!

its bad luck for Shannon.
as for the halves if it ain't broke, then don't muck it around and destroy any chance of wests-tigers finishing in the top 8.
hopefully the coach will see this.

Move Lawrence to fullback, he can become the next Hayne, who debuted at fullback in 2007 and helped in a big way get Parra in the top 4.

It could backfire, but let Lawrence play fullback this week, if he plays bad, Hanbury against Eels.

I'm really sorry to hear that, Shannon was in top form.

Sheens is way to smart to play Lawrence in the 1 position, it will not happen.

Hanbury will be named, you can bet your life on it.

seriously i have the johnsons & johnsons ready to go

Lawrence needs to play fullback and keep Moltzen at half, if Morris is anywhere nears the halves our season is over.

We have had two and half years of Morris screwing things up in the halves, please enough is enough leave him on the bench

I think we really should beat the sharks regardless of who plays fullback, so i'd really like to see how Lawrence goes there as he could well turn out to be great there as Hayne has done for the Eels…

Would just love to see that experiment anyhow... we could always reshuffle mid-match if its not working as we had to against the roosters...
