I think he would play if it were an NRL game as his training would not be such a required portion.

That and having a full week off game pressure on the ligaments is putting club first

is mason still availible , he may come over and play the way cashmere did , leave big red out till finals time should be good by then

Bugger! Keith really needed to play in this City/Country match to have any chance of impressing for Origin because with our bad start to the season, and the good form of some props from other well performing teams, I think he has fallen out of favour. It's a shame, because he hasn't actually been out of form, like many of our team, he just hasn't been there often enough due to injury. Considering he was only a fringe selection last year, I can't see him making it again now.

Who gives a damn about Origin?

Yesterday we saw signs of life in this season. We need all our players on board, week in week out. Obviously losing players to injury is unavoidable, in our case inevitable, but I'd be furious if we lost a player of Galloway's quality for some joke of a game. State of origin is not the be all and end all of football. It is not more important than club football. I'd take 10 NSW losses in a row for 2 points for the Tigers.

We've only just got him back, do we really wanna see him go for another 10 minute cameo like he got last year?

I love big Keefy, but geez he gets hurt a lot for a prop. Hell, he's had more injuries than almost every prop in the game.

It must be something serious as Keith was desperate to play for NSW and this will probably cost him a jersey. No way he misses that chance unless it's something serious.

I actually agree with your sentiments re Origin, Suntan, I think it's becoming a waste of time, also - a concept that's had its day, if you like. However, I believe the players actually bust their guts to get into these games for whatever reason - hype, prestige, passion for their state - who knows. I was actually lamenting the situation for big Keith because I'm pretty sure he would have really liked the opportunity to represent his state, for more than 10 minutes, this year.

Some pretty poor comments here imo.

Some would think the big lug injures himself intentionally.

Its a bloody thankless game sometimes.

You can't hide our players from rep duties! That's ridiculous!
If they are playing well enough and I believe they are, pick em and give them the opportunity that they deserve and play for.
What about the late 80s when half the tigers side was playing origin. I wasn't worried about injuries, I was proud that my teams players were flying the flag! They want to play rep footy, so let them!
