Despite playing a vital role in Wests Tigers’ strong start to the 2014 season, Keith Galloway’s more than fine with the attention falling on other people’s shoulders — leaving him free to concentrate on doing what he does best on the field.
Having played over 170 games of first-grade across 11 seasons in the NRL, Galloway’s certainly seen both success and disappointment before, and knows that the Club's strong performances of late are down to the team playing well together, as a team.
“Yeah, that’s it, mate,” he said at this morning’s press conference after training. “We’re playing well together and that’s showing on the field.
“ It’s not about one guy doing everything — we’re going good together as a team and we’ll try and keep that going this weekend.”
Despite only playing five of the Club’s six games so far this year, Galloway currently sits second in the team (behind fellow front-row partner Aaron Woods) for total hitups — averaging more than 10 hit-ups per game and an imposing 10m per carry.
And while it’s the Club’s bench that might have plenty of people talking so far this season, it’s been that duo that’s laid the platform for the Club’s backs and halves combinations to cause havoc for opposing teams in the past few weeks.

“I thought we [as a team] were really strong against the Cowboys on the weekend," he said.
"They’re a good team with a number of good forwards, so it was good to go up against them and test where we’re at right now.
“Parramatta will be a good test for us too.
"They’ve been going well and did real well against the Roosters up front so it’ll be a great grind in the middle. Timmy Mannah, Fui [Fui Moi Moi]… those are good players and it’ll be another great test for us against them on Monday.”
