Galloway needs to be moved along

Getting rid of galloway? You must be drunk!….........that's about the dumbest thing I have heard all year.

well, except for that benji to fullback discussion :roll

I think that would be a huge mistake. Galloway had by far worked on his fitness and tackling. Was looking real good before his injury. Is a solid leader fortheoother forwards. If Keiths not going forward, neither are the others. When he's on song, the confidence it breeds is huge. Keep kkeith to mentor the up and comers.

P.s Justo's comment….......GOLD!

For the coin he is on he isn't worth it, props are a dime a dozen there is nothing that makes KG a standout that warrants his pay packet. We could buy 2 props of equivelant skills for what he does

KG is on much less than Blair, and even as good as Blair has been this year, I rate KG above Blair. He's a workhorse, always puts in.

i smell a troll…
but...
assume we get rid of galloway
and pick up a new prop..
what if he gets injured?
move him on too?

If they were then we'd have a dozen.
You usually find the ones who have made NSW and Australian teams command a little better pay than peanuts.
Maybe you would suggest we buy a couple of George Roses?

I've never been a Galloway fan, believe he is way over rated but his constant run of injuries is enough for me, he's over paid and doesn't get the results on the field… Time to say bye bye to big keify

Two questions SG

What approximately is Keefy on ??

Who are we going to get for the same money ??

Answer me those two questions and I'll give you an answer

Everyone says he has injury issues , but imagine how hard it would be leading this lightweight pack

Unlike other props he can't have an off week

If he belly's up the Tigers belly up

Add to that is he's the ONLY forward we have that bends the line and the ONLY forward we have that can dominate in a one on one tackle - without needing halve a dozen teammates to help him drag someone to the ground.
No injury comes at a good time , but better to be injured now than the pointy end of the season

that's a very good point.. never saw that.

Given the fans have collectively yearned for another prop for years, and we are currently struggling for props….where are these dime a dozen players with equivalent skills of Galloway at half the cost? And just how much is Galloway on BTW?

Surely we would have recruited them by now?

When I survey the current NRL squads, reggies and juniors as well as ESL....I just don't see a plethora of opportunities you seem to see. Some good players out there, but not all are within price range, skill range for what we require, appropriate age/experience, or off contract/available.

I love him. He gets us going forward all the time. Woods is more robust and more skillful but Galloway is probably better at a simple smash it forward play.

His injuries are a concern but I like him in our squad.

But thats exactly it hes never in our squad.Because of injury.Sad but true.We need to find someone else in my opinion.

KG is on $300k + per season. Blair is over paid as well, bad signin $$ wise IMO, looks at the top sides who are their props?

Storm have a penrith and roosters rejects as their props, manly signed Bryan Lawrence who was a titans reject and is killin it, there's good buys out there if u have a good recruitment team and not pay overs for over rated players
\

Storm are a prime example of this.
Blair
Manu
Tolman
Hoffman
Johnson

All premiership forwards they have let go and look who they replaced them with, paying overs for props/forwards is ridiculous

Some clubs dont have to pay overs.
Succesful clubs will attract players that are willing to take less to play in a top team.

Struggling clubs find it harder to attract quality at reasonable price….we have to pay overs where others dont

Simple business

The other issue is supply and demand If someone is the best for that season they will attract more money

Couple of examples over the years Asotasi to souths way over ,Blair to Us ,Clinton to the Broncos
