Galloway offers nothing

So now it's Keithy's turn…we seem to be working through the team one-by-one with each player copping a bagging as we go. So far, Forum Tigers supporters have rubbished Sirronen, Lawrence, Teddy, Richards, Moses, Simona and now Galloway. How about we stop bagging them and start "SUPPORTING" our players guys! Especially when they are having a dig.
I agree with most posts here in that KG certainly looks like a new refreshed and enthusiastic player this season, I am enjoying watching him, he seems to be having a real go for mine.

You can add Farah, Sue, and Halatau to that list. At this stage Woods and Tapau are about the only two that are safe, for now anyway.

I would of been the first to agree with this thread for the past 3 seasons but not this year, the guy has played solid footy.

It's the first time ever that I actually miss him being on the field!

He defiantly is earning his money this season ,but reality is he really is a plodder that does not do any real damage. He is earning his keep but will not worry to many top line props.

Keefy's been good this season , I don't know who to thank so I'll thank everyone at the WT's for persevering with the big guy and his injuries

Snake, yes you probably are right, but as Russ says the topline props don't worry him and at the very least he does his best and will still improve…..especially now he has gotten over his niggling injuries....

I think Keith is a huge asset to our young team.
And remember he's yet to get to 30 and has been around for a long time in 1st grade.
Sure he won't win a game off his own bat but he sure add's to the overall performance in a positive way.
He will happily be in our starting rotation for quite a few more seasons.
PS One of my favorite memories this year is Keith's face of with that young Rooster ….lol pi55ed myself.

Does charging down a field goal attempt class as winning a game ??

Don't remember saying he won us a game
What I did say was " he sure ad's to the overall performance in a positive way"
I hope his input this weekend will continue to impress me.

Hes an average NRL prop who adds some size to the team but not much more.Has no real offload, and in tandem with Woods our front row lacks a fear factor(not saying Woods shld change ,but thems the facts)
The other fact is were probably paying a lot more for him than what he delivers, but who knows

He is a very honest player who does his best and achieves without any fanfare. He is a cornerstone of our team.

I see a lot more positives than this. More than anything I hated the days when teams could easily crack the WTs straight through the middle. When KG's in the middle this will hardly ever happen.
When KG injured his shoulder against the Raiders and was off. The Raiders opened up the Tigers through the middle.

He gets quick play the balls and helps hold our ruck defence together

When other players give him plaudits , you have to ask why ??

Maybe your topic is a bit harsh but I am not filled with confidence about his merit these days. I feel better when he is not a starting prop. I thought Jesse Sue was as effective last game and that Matt Lodge is an obvious longer term replacement for KG.

Joke of a topic, our win % and points differential when he is on the park makes a clear statement as to his value to the team.

I have to disagree with the negative comments regarding Galloway. I believe he still offers plenty. Yes his form isn't as good as it once was, but he makes a difference on the field. Woods has even stated a few times that they (the FR forwards) perform better when he is on the field. Galloway will usually take the first hit up in a set which leaves Woods/Tupau to charge into the 2nd and 3rd.
He is also a fairly imposing figure on the field. Any time there is a blue you will see Galloway right in the middle of it.

Galloway's defence is solid, and he's making the metres. Imo, there's always room for a player like him at any club. If we were to move Galloway on I could easily see a team like south sydney buying him and making great use with him. He's one of the only big men at the club and our depth is just not good enough to remove him. I would just wait and see what matt lodge does, and make a decision on galloway future then. Lodge is a great prop in the making but he reminds me of Teo. A player that will go where the money is. Could be wrong but that's just my opinion
