If he can stay fit for as long as possible then it's a great signing. A front row rotation of galloway, woods, buchanan/taupau/groat/gavet/ava with a full off-season is exciting .

_Galloway joins fellow props Taupau, Aaron Woods, Jack Buchanan, Ava Seumanufagai and **James Gavet** who have committed to the Club for 2014._

Is that an announcement that gavet has officially re-signed? I thought he was only contracted for 2013\. Also, should we read too much into the absence of Groat in that mention?

No mention of Blair either

Probably because he's considered a back rower.

Great news to finish the working week. The Tigers pack is now shaping up to be decent for next year with Ava S and Gavet both sticking around. I hope Groat also stays, but I won't be surprised if the Eels make a play for him with their cleanout.

Still, a starting rotation of Woods and Galloway with Taupau and Buchanan off the bench looks promising. I think there's every chance Buchanan will tip the scales at 110kg next year also, and hopefully be a bit stronger to boot.

very good

Congratulations, three years of sitting on the bench injured for 3 x 8 games equals 24 so really we have him for 2 years
Well done!

Awesome news indeed.

But I am a little confused given that so many of our forum posters who are 'in the know' said he was leaving or not being re-signed….........ahem.........

Does anyone have any idea of how much we ended up signing him for?

I know we were at a stale mate before and weren't going to offer him what he wanted.

Would be interesting where it all ended up?

Suddenly our front row is shaping up pretty strongly in 2014\. Been a while since we could say that

Sauce
Woods
Gavet
Taupau
Seumanufagai
Buchanan

yeah I feel pretty happy about it too, but in reality we are relying on Buchanan, Ava and Gavet showing improvement

Hopefully Gavet can get some games this year and show some form, then I'll be more confident

wouldn't say strongly. it's pretty weak right now, so without injuries i think it can be a bit better than average next year. which is good enough for us, or has been in the past anyway.

yeah, like I was saying, it has the potential to be great, if some of the younger guys kick on

Looking good, finally. With a decent go forward pack, hopefully our backs get their act together and start scoring some points. Would like to see groat have another crack before being let go( if that is the case). See if he is better or not, at least you know you made the right decision.

i like it we're moving in the right direction.

maybe one more for depth and no complaints frome me

yeah it's not like other players in our squad get injured…....

When Sauce leads our pack we are a 20% better side, just hope we get to see a bit more of him over the next few years than we have lately.
