Galloway Re-Signs Official

well looks like my info was wrong on that, unless he settled for less than he was demanding previously
glad he is staying, he definitely gets us one the front foot with some of his hit ups
plus we still have one of Gus' favourites, almost makes sunday footy worth watching with the sound on haha

a few decent 2nd row signings and our pack may be actually a little bit respectable; we just need players that put their heads down and do their job.

im guessing kennedy is off our radar with that impressive prop list
matt ryan i think is a worthwhile target, good tackling machine, plus we will have 2 solid red heads on the field

since he has re signed i would be looking to play Buchanan at lock. Would toughen up our pack heaps and would mean we would have more big men on the field.

Nice to have a few good signings over the last couple of days & being able to have a pretty decent prop rotation for a change next year. If Brooks is able to step up next year & solve our halfback problem, the club will be slowing moving in the right direction & giving Potter more to work with.

people want too many as locks, sironen, anasta, blair, now buchanan? there's only one no. 13.

Put him at prop, if he can start in the NRL at 20 and play decently he looks to have a solid future in the prop position. It's obvious we will have injuries next year so have Woods, Galloway, Buchanan, Ava on a 4 man rotation with Taupau, Groat etc as reserves or if we somehow escape injuries for more than 4-5 weeks otherwise perhaps back row.

Because there are no props really available at the moment, it is a good re-signing. Another thing, Roy Asotasi is off contract at the end of the year, currently on big money which he won't get again, he could be on the move. I'm not his biggest fan but for the right price I'd take him. Surely better than Rose.

i read in the paper a month or so ago that he resigned with souths for 2 years.

Looking forward to Galloways few appearances next season…with age comes more injury and longer to overcome.unlike many here would of been very happy to see him in an eels jersey .Nothing to get excited about but then never been a fan overrated a knee-jerk reaction in my opinion by the club.

Roy Asotasi is on his way to Bradford Bulls next season.

That is the noise coming out of the South Sydney Rabbitohs on their New Zealand prop.

The former Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldog has been at Souths since 2007 and won 24 caps for the Kiwis.

Good career move for Roy. Top up the bank account before he retires. He wouldn't get another good deal staying in the NRL.

Its not the worst signing, but im non plussed either. He has a good work ethic and isnt afraid of the dirty work, I just think it tough to teach old dogs new tricks… he runs too tall no matter what tackle in the set, and thus is a moral for a slow play the ball. If they could teach him to take field position and tackle count into consideration when he bangs up and how he contacts he would send his stock through the roof.

Well i dont see Brent Kite getting injured his 32 if im correct ??

not sure if it was matt ryan or mitch allgood who used to be in our juniors? i think one of them was in the grand final nyc team in 2009?

hoping to see one of the props play 2nd row for a while until someone from the lower grades gets some vital experience in the top grade.

looking gooddd

Id look at having galloway on the bench when he gets back…. Start with woods and blair and rotate Galloway with them, all three capable of playing big min...

Yeah definitely. It would be a good opportunity to re-structure the bench and use Buchanan in the backrow IMO. Potter could start Woods and Blair, bring on Galloway and Seumanufagai for them, bring on Buchanan for Sue or one of the backrowers, and then Potter has a choice of BMM or Thompson as another backrow option.
