Galloway

Is it just me or has Galloway been playing bog average since coming back from injury? His hit ups are very lacklustre and tentative, imo. It seems he's gone back to playing like the pre-2010 days when we were all calling for him to use his size and run at the line with more speed.

His entire game recently has been looking slow and lethargic. Hopefully he will still be an effective metre making prop next year but his limitations appear to becoming more pronounced.

I've thought so as well. I know his shoulder was heavily strapped last week preventing him reaching for a try, so maybe he is injured?

he has never ever steamed onto the line. even in his highlights package, there are only a few.

when he learns how to do that, he could be a weapon on the bench.

As a young prop back in the day I was simply told - run hard or run home. I don't think Keefy is 100% fit.

His effort on impact is there, but the first half of his run is slow tentative steps which is very ineffective for him . He has no speed off the mark so when he tries to excelerate he cant. Easily fixed, run hard before you get the ball. His running speed shouldn't change, it should always be at his high speed, no prancing around the first half of his run.

would have to be one of the slowest props in the game.
really needs to lift or dissappear.

He's unfit. Even more unfit than the rest of the side, which is saying something!

While he's always been slow like people have said, he's never been _this_ slow and that has to be because of his fitness levels. You'd imagine he'll be a lot better next season without a 2/3 season injury layoff

I dont really rate Sauce… not only is he slow, but he doesnt hit the line with venom, and has always been an easy mark for defences to hold up in a tackle to slow the play the ball down. Its like he only has one gear, with bog average cookie cut runs every single time... couldnt find the turf if he tried, or even worse doesnt understand that sometimes he should be. Doesnt matter what tackle it is in a set, he runs them all like a first tackle settler.

I think people are forgetting how little football he has played this year. He is going OK all things considered.

Thank god someone else sees it. I think some of these critics have never suffered a serious injury

You dont just bounce back to career best form 2 weeks later.

Cant believe the dribble i have just read on this thread…. If he is as bad as u guys make out, why did he run the most metres out of the props on both sides, against the pack every one rates as the biggest... and with a back rower next to him and a couple of pups rotating off the bench....
Running hard at the line is pointless if u cant penetrate it and Galloway can...
and further more he has came back 6 weeks early from a season ending injury in a dead rubber situation for no other reason but to put some pride back in the jersey... He could of just sat out and worried about next year like the rest are doing...

Agree what more do you want from the guy haha. You want him to burn some outside backs and make more line breaks ??

Does almost all the dirty work hit-ups like when you don't want your runner to get driven back, early in the set etc, and doe it well even not fully fit. Plus his defence, we are much better at stopping the big opposition when he is in the line. Mostly on his own - with Fulton, we'd have been stuffed last night without them (look at what happened when Fulton left the field).

Check the metres run last night, we were basically the same as Souths, one of the most dominant in the game!

I have no problem with Galloway's work rate and he runs the ball straight early in the tackle count. I just don't like him
Being used as the try scorer when we are close to the line. Someone like BMM does that better (as long as he holds the ball). He more easily moves forward with blokes on his back
