It rated last season, that 21-20 BS match at the end. Big crowd from memory and got the live game on 9 too.

But agreed, we are a far worse combo (dogs vs tigers) this season.

Yeah it will allow me to watch the replay once i get home from the game without having to delete one of my kids taped shows on IQ( it's always full) When we loose i delete them before watching them anyway. Always look on the bright side of things.

I agree it's a joke. It's only round 8 it's a long season anything can happen positional wise. At least ch9 could have put it on the GEM channel. A live game from Brisbane what a joke

well at least now I can watch it only if we win, and don't have to go through the pain of listening to it or watching it! delayed games suck though Friday is the worst, there is no way I can wait til 9 30 without knowing the score

It makes obvious sense to me. Broncs and South will draw a large crowd, will have on display many rep players and will provide an entertaining game. Tigers and Dogs are injury depleted and playing very average football this year. There is about 4 blokes in the Tigers side who are playing at first grade level. It would be an embarrassment to the NRL to showcase such a game in prime time.

I am sure they are spewing it is telecast at all.

With the Tigers and Dogs sitting on the bottom quarter of the table this would be the 8th ranked game of the weekend

Id like them to get rid of the second friday night game anyway.. One is enough by the time the second game comes around Ive dropped off. Maybe add a 4pm Sat? to go with 6pm and go viewers choice for 7:30 or maybe too early. AFL doesn't appear bothered by having Saturday afternoon footy .. any reason why the NRL should be?

Oddly enough, I was enjoying the Thursday night game. Didnt think I would. And I know it effects teams as far as turnarounds etc. But Footy, live, Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday & Monday who can argue with that (except the wives).
