Alright fellow members, curious to as in what you personally would do if you were in charge with the club.

What I would do is: Sign up Teddy, Woods, Moses and Nofa

If things are still the same half way through the season, I'd sack JT. I'd then monitor Madge's situation at South if he becomes available he'd be more first option, if not then I'd sign up Toovey.

Rankin and Hunt can leave and sign up Kahu (goalkicker)

Offer brooks like $300k, he doesn't like it he can leave.

Also resign Grant and Ava.

Player market: Honeslty I'll cop some flack from this but I genuinely believe we should try make a play for Tamaloulou now wait here me out…. Brooks and Simona frees up 950k, Farah's contract also runs out which frees us from another 750k. All together that's 1.7 m plus the possible salary cap increase, Tedesco would be on about a 400k a year upgrade, Woods on about 150k upgrade, Moses 150k upgrade. That leaves us with 1 mil and also the cap will be increasing. Add players like Lovett, Kev, Rankin to leave.

Possible options I'd look at.

1\. Go hard for Tamaloulou and get Harry to maybe offer some third party agreements money wise we'd be sweet. Also would buy a cheap half to compliment Moses like a Connor Watson

2\. Clear our pack and upgrade forwards to like McQueen, Evans and Kasiano. (This option would become available if Brooks signs at 300k)

3\. Go hard for Jack bird... throw Brooks and Simona's money and you've got him I reckon.... offer him a starting role at 6 on 800-900k.

But the idea of having Tamalolou is frightening.... yeh we aren't the most attractive club but $ talks and an offer wouldn't hurt....

Keep Woods,Tedesco,Moses,Nofo..let Brooks and Kev go

Buy 2 mungrel forwards

Get a coach who has a idea….Toovey for sure
 
I would definetly like Kahu especially with Mead still up there at Brisbane.

DWZ would also be good from Penrith especially with the number of outside backs there, if we can't get DWZ i would also look at Dylan Edwards.

Taumalalo would be good but I am happy with ET at lock and would much rather a quality 2nd rower
e.g. Wade Graham

Then we should sign a 5/8 either Watson or Bird

By next year hopefully we could have Sironen, Paseka, Tatola, JJ, Marsters all playing FG.

I'd just look for quality forwards and outside backs. If any of Brooks, Moses and Woods go it's fine. We can't offer them big money. I'd start looking for replacements for all 3 now.

I'd sign Tedesco and even pay a little over for his first year. So front end his contract.

I'd basically play moneyball and have Tedesco as our key playmaker/game winner.

The coach has to go as well. He is a disaster.
 
The problem remains that everyone else is also getting more money next year so the balance between the cellar teams and the top teams will remain.
And as well as that, who is going to take under to come here. No one knows what damage will be done between now and halfway through the season. I've thought that we could be 1-9 after 10 rounds with the only win being the Dragons. But after yesterday, there's no gaurantee that we won't get touched up by them too

I was thinking the same last night ….
Defence was still crap under Sheens , but at least we could rack up a decent score and was entertaining to watch .

Now they can't do either .

This team will never defend well.
There needs to be a full cleanout of these players.
Tim Sheens has been our ONLY coach with any credentials.
He took us to finals football, even won a premiership, no other coach we have had has done that.

Changing 2 or 3 players each year and expecting huge improvements is insanity. A new experienced coach won't come cheap but if you want real success it is the ONLY way

Ohhh so bidding for a quality player these days means it's fanasty league. I can't understand what's wrong with it?

We've gained 1.7 mil from three players pending if Brooks leaving plus other small players.

As many have said a cleanout is needed….
 
Sad your already looking at 2018, a review from ceo down perhaps in the off season or if we don't make the finals. Rather repetitive calling for coaches head, a bit more ticker from the players required… I reckon they would agree. It's round 3... wins will come from performance, performance will come all the team start playing as one.

Yes to an extant. However lewis might not be offered a contract. Beale is in and out of the team due to a lot of class players. Hoffman wont be signed again at warriors.
 
I really hope we don't sign McQueen, he was once a good player now he's very ordinary, exactly what we don't need, we already have enough Chris McQueens.

In my opinion we need to get a decent prop so Woods isn't carrying the team every week. I'm sorry but Grant is a poor man's Sauce and Ava tries hard but we need better.

- Brooks has to be let go, I can't stress this enough.
- Kev needs to go
- One of the Penrith outside backs would be nice.
- Edwards and Felise we could do without, Id like to add
MCK and JLJ to that but they're OK depth and JLJ at least has shown he can do a job in a number of positions. I don't think MCK is first grade quality.
- I can't figure out what needs to happen in the backrow yet.

We need a quality winger
A quality centre
At least 1 quality backrower
2 Props
A half back

Kev gone
Suli kept but not in FG
Edwards, Felise gone
Grant, Ava gone
Brooks gone
 
Tedesco is the priority resigning, not just because he is the best player of the off contract guys, but because there's not all that much on the fullback market, so I'm not sure who we could replace him with… We could potentially go after Hayne but he doesn't seem to have the attitude that you'd want at your club. We could also try and entice Papenhuyzen to renege on his deal with the storm, under the guise of no longer wanting to move out of Sydney... Lolohea or Latrell Mitchell are some other options...

If Moses were to leave, I'd go after Widdop, as he is a marquee half who can kick goals. Foran could also be an option. He's had/has some issues, but he's a tough player, which is the antithesis of the tigers!

If Brooks were to leave, I wouldn't mind signing Cameron Cullen and giving him a crack at the first grade position. Otherwise Littlejohn would go alright.

I'll have to have more of a think on how to fix our forward pack... there are too many issues to consider in one post!
