One bomb in how many years? That's the only example you have? Really?

Do you think if Moltzen had a great kicking game it would have been utilised? Whenever he played halfback he NEVER kicked.

You asked when Moltzen has "ever shown" his kicking ability and I provided a recent example. Your request did not state multiple examples.

He was also injured all of 2010\. You would need to go through matches in 2009\. I am sure you will find more examples to satisfy your revised requirements. Unfortunately, I don't have a database of every minute played of Moltzen's career and cannot pull out more specific examples. Apologies.

So he's shown it once in first grade. "Great" kicking game indeed.

Fact: Tim Moltzen has NEVER done any general play kicking in first grade, ever.

Dude you always have to be so negative and aggressive on here. It's a discussion forum, not everyone attack Hybrid Tiger forum. If you had watched his earlier career in lower grades playing 5/8 you would see what type of kicking game he has. Just cos there is Benji, Farah, Lui ahead of him in the pecking order may have some impact on his kicking game, same as playing him in multiple positions.

Mate, I'm not being aggressive at all, it just bugs me when people trot out the line that Moltzen has some sort of superb kicking game.

Moltzen has never displayed a competent kicking game in first grade, this is a fact. I happen to believe if he did have a superior kicking game to all our other halves (as some people have suggested) he would have been instructed to do the general play kicking by the coaching staff.

When Lui plays halfback, he and Marshall share the kicking.
When Moltzen plays halfback, Marshall does all the kicking.

Surely there must be a reason for this?

Probably the same gameplan that has Jacob Miller looking like a robot in first grade but a world beater in reserves. Putting the shackles on talent

Ive got to be honest. Dugan is a fraud, just like Todd Carney. Both are bad news and both go walk about too often.
I rekon we should reward our main man Mitch Brown who's hardly stepped a foot wrong at this club but still struggles to find himself a regular spot even with this massive roster change! Or Mullaney for that matter..

And let's be honest Moltzen has got nothing. He defends as bad as Lui, runs like a pansy and rarely kicks. In another thread a few months ago someone posted a best of Moltzen video. I yawned throughout it. All the highlights weren't from his creations..

Moltzen can't kick. So he put up a bomb against Storm..big deal! It still wasn't as good as Robert Miles midfield grenades in 2003.

In 2008 I was reading all about this "biggest boot in the club", he played a game at 7 against the Panthers at Campbelltown and couldnt smoke anything more than 35 metres.

Agree to an extent. I've always said that with a bit of guidance and awareness of his size, Mitch could really develop into a superb fullback. We have enough ball playing talent in our 6, 7 & 9 as it is and we really need at the moment a solid fullback who is able to contest a high ball under pressure, run straight and hard on kick returns and positions himself well in defense. Mitch can do this.

I have to be honest though, I very much rate Dugan and I wouldn't sneeze at his signature.

Its off topic but gee i remember those torpedo bombs Robbie Miles used to put up. They were monsters. Almost as good as the Fitzy grubber for Johnny Wilson which lead to what seemed to be the majority of our tries that year. Ahh the memories.

If Brown is to be successful in fullback - or any position for that matter - he needs to find a lot more confidence in what he does, because for whatever reason, it is not there at the moment. He is currently hesitant, looks unsure of what he should be doing next and not playing tough enough.

Last year he looked like he was about to step up to the next level, but at the moment he looks likely to let bombs bounce and get dragged into touch.

Will the real Mitch Brown please step forward?!

Otherwise sign Dugan or someone else.

In addition to my earlier comments, Dugan has been out several times throughout his short career with injuries, some "mystery" ones. Why do we all of a sudden want to buy broken players? Our medical team used to offload all the busteds i.e. Halatau (great as he was, he's been forever injured)
