Games In Empty Stadiums

I watched a game of soccer over the weekend in an empty stadium, it was like a high intensity training run, you could hear players, refs and coaches calling out. Kind of like in the old school days when we played cup games at stadiums. There is this echo and ampi theatre style sound that comes from a small crowed and up from the oval.

This has happened to an extent once before the old Amco cup played mid week at Leichhardt oval . Yes there were spectators but a thousand would of been a big game and a few hundred on many occasions .. every Wednesday night for years during the season! A lot of you would not of been born !

Just listen to any NSWRL refs vision highlight package you will get an idea they are miked up same as NRL if the broadcasters turn it off and reduce the ground mikes you won't hear that much through the tele...at a game with less than 500 people different story ..you hear a lot

here is an example from our CC game...

Saw a post on Facebook, the guy at Leichhardt Oval whose house balcony overlooks the ground - tickets prices to his house have gone up 10000%
