I had a chat and a pic taken with him at the Members' Day on Sunday. He had a bleeding wound on his hand and was fiddling with a band-aid to cover it up. I asked him what was wrong. He said he was "sparring with a brother". Of all the moments on the day, that one has stuck with me. That, and seeing him wander down to the pool, alone, and sit watching, alone, in the stands, while the rest of the squad went through recovery. He didn't seem like he belonged. It concerned me then and it still does. I just hope he has good people around him. If he's to reach his potential, he is going to have to trust in someone who can give him guidance and timely advice. I hope he finds that person.
