Gibbs + Fafita = Blair?

I didnt care about loosing Fifita, but Gibbs & Payten were big losses, Gibbs with all the work he did & Payten with his ability to play prop & 2nd row. All this adds up to two major losses.

Gotta give Blair time to adapt to our structure.

With the way he is playing at the moment the only spot for Blair in our structure is either in the front row or the bench. Watching the game last night Chris Lawrence played in the second row more than Blair! Hit the ball up mate!

While I am also disappointed with Blair the maths isnt so simple.

Gibbs (who has played 1 game this season) and Fifita (who really lets be honest is no great loss) were let go to cater for Blair (who has been disappointing no doubt) as well as upgrades to some of our younger players. So the equation is Gibbs + Fifita = Blair + upgrades to younger players we wanted to keep. It is wrong to suggest that Blair is on what those two combined were on. i think for the future of the Club it was the right decision, what isnt right is the way Blair is playing - dog awful.

lol well cant say i didnt tell u guys he was a waste of money, the storm made him look better than he actually was and storm fans could see that a mile away

Blair not playing well, but there only a few who are.

No matter. Sheens will not drop anyone no matter how badly they play. Time to go Tim.

I love this talk cause I disagreed with the Blair buy from the start….I dont mind losing a few more games because it will show Sheens for the coach he is...past it..

Please stop including fifita. Gibbs was a loss because of his defensive ability. I would've given fifita away for free.

Also Blair has mongrel not many tigers have. How can u compare him to our 9 win straight team when we're basically 0-4.

Gibbs has been our biggest loss, he would've tackled for 60 minutes at least last night and given us some go forward

I agree. Gibbs was a machine for us in previous years, not many props can last the first thirty in the NRL these days. He hasnt been getting a run for the sharks because there forwards are doing quite well atm, but Gallen can make any pack look good. I would love to have gibbs back, his presence around the team and ability to tackle untill his arms fall off is worth more than Blair…in fact it's PRICELESS!

Blair will come good. we definitely miss keithy ATM though.

These threads are funny… You are all aware we didn't offload Gibbs & Fifita to get Blair, but obviously it suits your argument.

Gibbs wouldn't of made many tackles last night either... He was out injured this week!!!

Blair has been disappointing…someone recently made a good comment about Blair and the Storm....If Blair was such a good player...**why haven't the Storm missed his presence.**..??....it's not as if they replaced him with a marquee signing.

looks to be the biggest blunder in recent times. offload 2 front rowers for a yet to be firing and 'another' second rower.

Fifita=Run five metres sideways, push/palm defender away and run five metres sideways to original position, then repeat push/palm process. Repeat this until you make a nett gain of one metre. Have a poor attitude at training and require management off the field.

No thanks

Spot on Citizen Tiger!

I can't believe people here are upset he was let go. I really dont understand it for the life of me. He hasn't been at Cronulla for a year and he's already on the nose with his team mates and coaches because of his attitude. He wont last the season there.

When he gets released from Cronulla the fans will be praising Flanagan. Here, Tim gets lambasted. :brick:

…no ones lambasting Tim, but to offload 2 front rowers for a second rower is lunacy. i dont give a rats of what these guys do at training, some of the best players at training are average on game day.

Your timely attendance and your attitude at training reflects the respect you have for your club and your team mates. If you behave indifferently while everyone else is working hard and doing their job, you're in the outer circle pretty quickly. Fifita was no loss, per Daine Laurie

Did any one notice that Blair looked like he was on one leg on monday night, i think he maybe injured. In saying that is is well below par and i for one think we got a raw deal letting Gibbs go.
By the way what happened to the huge pack Sheens was going to build so we would not get pushed around this year??????

NZ Warriors Player Lewis Brown is no longer avaliable just agreed to join Panthers for 3 years. Would of loved to pick him up over Blair.

Gibbs was over paid trust me in for 1 out for 3 just like at cronulla they are no big losses in my eyes. We will want to keep hold of BMM
