Glass Half Full

Plenty to be pessimistic about unfortunately but to take a differing look, there were some positives to take from the game. Maybe Madge needs to build the team around the positives instead of trying to bandaid the infections.

1. Talau's best position is right centre. Really sured up the right side defence. Roosters had to try and kick over him. JTJ has trained in right centre so he gets that spot for now, try Talau at left centre, but he is part of our future and will end up at right centre eventually.

2. Garners defence much improved on last week and again with Talau and Douhei on that side the defense looked much better.

3. Mikale had a much improved impact from the bench.

4. Joffa and Stephano holding their own. Better side with them in it.

5. Laurie is deceptively strong for his size. Going great and will only get better.

6. Liddle better with a rest but Mbye not a hooker. Jake on the bench.

7. Still to add Musgrove and see what he brings.

Not much else to add but some small positives to work with

All those fluff articles at the start of the season are really warming my heart now😁

We don't even own a glass, let alone it being half full

pj,we do have a glass, however the extreme heat has put a crack in it..:fire:

could go either way. Madge could make some changes quickly and we improve from this, or the players attitude continues in the same fashion and it gets worse. the left edge needs an overhaul and our halves need to learn how to kick. forwards are doing enough to lay a platform, we just can't control games. Brooks is on borrowed time, and I'm a fan of his. this can't continue.

as for the left edge, I can't work out what we do. Talau still has his issues and next to Kepaoa it could be just as bad. this is why we needed Momirovski. maybe M'Bye to left centre and Talau outside him, but even then who knows.

Geez, I'd hate you to be my Barman. Half full? My glass must have a hole in it.

If we're gonna be half serious about this season....
Bye bye Brooks, bye bye Kaput, bye bye BJ (all rocks and no diamonds)

Tommy T - Lacks that bit of turbo
Twal is not a 13.
Laurie our best needs to have ball in hands. (possible 5/8 swap with Doehi)
Liddle needs to interchange with Simpkins.
Mumbai in centres. Need his awareness and and D.

Glass Half full:
- We have played 2 teams that will both finish in the top 4 no questions
- The spine is only 1 game in, combinations will grow hopefully sooner rather than later
- Laurie is a gem, lock him down

There definitely are positives but until we play consistently as a team, its going to be like every other year. A smattering of wins amongst blowouts.

I really feel we need to concentrate on the young players who should become part of the WT fabric for the next several years - Simpkin, Simpkins etc. Get them in there learning their craft. Talau is a good example. He should be centre for the season.

BJ is cooked, adds nothing and even when he does, is way too volatile to provide the value required over an extensive period. We need consistency. BJ won't be resigned - at least that frees up another $500k - $600k for 2022.

2 games in, we really can only get better from here....

Good summary of the positives and there are some, I add that Tamou has been a plus, particularly early runs and fast PTB

It wouldn't of been the only thing smashed to pieces if i did that ?????

Without doubt, our forward pack is much stronger compared with last year. With that in mind, I think the fans would have expected this to mean a better result on the scoreboard. Talking about half full, if you could pick 2 players who looked like they’d been on the booze the night before, who would they be?
