Why does our forward pack need experience? I dont want experience, I want athletic meatheads who are intimidating and bash the bejesus out of other packs. Thats all I want.

Lol like the one who left us? It seems aggressive forward and WT don't go together real well. We've lost a few over the years for various reasons (some out of our control) - Fifita, Taupau, Lodge, Brown, Akaoula (he played like a beast last night) to name a few.

Out of that list Fifita (on the field only, off it he is a waste of oxygen) is the only loss IMO. Taupau has 1 decent game out of every 10 and is one certain brain explosion away from spending a few months on the sideline suspended, not the sort of player that is worth the $600 000 a season that he was chasing.
Brown and Akuola show very brief glimpses of their talent. Brown would go alright in our pack now that he has a bit more workrate in his game.
Gone are the days of an intimidating forward ala Blocker, Geyer, Chief and Spud. The best you can hope for these days is a bloke that runs it up full bore and has an offload in him. Very surprised that there are not a few more of these sort of players running around in either NSW or QLD reserve grade comps. Of course they also have to have a big motor as well to cope with the pace of the game these days, that is probably what weeds a few of them out.
