its time for marshall to step down as kicker, looks like sheens isnt going to make that decision,i belive
benji should swallow his pride and relinquish the goal kicking duties.its really putting them team under enormous
pressure.at times instead of being 4-6 points down we are 8-12 points and having to chase more trys to get back into it.so instead of being 30-26 behind with 10 to go we are 2 converted trys behind.and thats why i think its making it mentally tough for them to get back into it.its going to be tough come finals time when u need every point
just a quick one on the selections ,fitzy has to go,wats happend to moors, when he ,dywer, fifita were on the bench we lookjed good, now we are starting get soft in the middle again

thats exactly right. mentally being behind by so many points would make them play panic footy and throw it around.
last week we had score more tries vs the cowboys but were behind on the score board. vs manly we would have stormed home had benji kicked the conversions and got us on 4-6pts behind instead of 10-12.

in the trials moltzen was kicking and wasnt doing much better.
correct me if im wrong but can fifita kick?
lawrence has been out of practice kicking for so long it may be wasted time.

Pretty sure I heard somewhere along the line that Benji said he will do what is asked of him. If they want him to goal kick, that is what he does. He won't stand himself down from the responsibility asked of him.

I think we need to look outside the square with this one. Perhaps someone from the lower grades can slot in to kick goals.

I'd be giving lote a crack, or flanagan. Why not pick Sean Meaney or Mullaney on the wing? i'm sure they could both handle the wing and the goal kicking. we cant win the comp with benji kicking goals. Maybe we should make a play for Michael Gordon?

there's no point in asking for Benji to be replaced by a kicker….when there is no definitive other choices

Because they are both injured.

Sean Meaney would have been the best option mate, but he got injured pretty badly a couple of weeks ago. Up until that point he was slotting them from everywhere. Lazarus can kick but he's out of favor at the moment, Matt Preston, err i mean Andrew Fifita can kick, but he's not out there long enough. Chris Corby is another who can kick but he is also injured and plays hooker so he won't dislodge Robbie…And then there's Mullaney who is also injured.

Benji is not a natural goal striker of the ball, he doesn't possess the deft touch that is required for this job. I believe we may not go much further in this comp if there is not someone competent to replace him as kicker. Our points differential now stand at 0, in part thanks to Benji's kicking.

Lets concentrate on stopping trys and scoring trys than worry about the goal kicking and that is achieved by picking the best 17 players every week that are fit, No more sympathy picks, no more mate picks and no more history picks. The buck stops with Sheens, Iam sorry but in three lower grades we must have some better options than Skando and Fitzy and just maybe one of those options could solve the goal kick problem too. Of course their are other player other than the two I have mentioned that should also come under the microscope but to win against the better sides we cant send a 17 out like last week and expect to win

We brought the wrong bloke back…

17\. Brett Hodgson (Goal Kicker)........

What was the go with Dean Collis never kicking. He was excellent, kicked 7/8 or something against the Storm up at Gosford one game.

He had a previous ankle injury which caused him discomfort when kicking I think.
