Goalkicker for 2014?

No question I reckon, Richards will be first choice. As long as he has a run on spot of course.

Sirro has taken a few now, Anasta has spent time there too in his later years at Easts.

I reckon a few of the outside backs should look to expand their skills with some goal kicking sessions over the off season, players like Simona/Nofo/Teddy. Would make it added incentive to keep a first grade spot if they can knock them over.

Richards was going to be goal kicker even before Marshall announced he was leaving. Marshall said so himself

Pat's a much better kicker than Marshall. A no brainer really. Back ups would be Anasta, Sironen and flip a coin and hope your not needed.

will go to the guy alot think is a waste of money.
the reality though,it was an astute addition by potter.
halfway through next season people will start to understand, just like this year when fulton was extended.off season not in peoples first 17,come half way into the season, first player picked in his position.

With the best strike rare in the competition of 83% as well as finishing 2012 as the comps top points scorer, its only wishful thinking at the Tigers! lol

What is his position???

I really dont know???

wing, and a damn fine one at that.
i've watched about 6 games this year and about to watch the challenge cup 1/4 final.
every game he has shown consistent class at his position.he gets through plenty of hard yard one out compressed work and when a chance is on to score he does it.add his consistent 55 yard + drop outs, his goal kicking, consistency under the high ball and experience,he will be great value for money.
these kids need someone like pat to go to.someone who simply does his job on a week to week basis.

ultimately i see him as the swing man for our young backline.you can throw him to fullback or centre when injuries hit and he will do the job while the youngsters can stick to one position.

would like to see potter try and get his team mate liam farrell.like the way he goes about his business on the field and about to hit his prime.

Centre is his position

Remember the Saints semi in 2005 ,while he was out there he shut down Gasnier

Something the Tigers were never really good at

I understand he is a very good winger, and option at centre or Fb,My question is more where is he going to fit into the mix.

He is obviously going to play. If its wing then who misses out.

Assuming the backline will be…..

7.Brooks
6,Sirro
5.Richards
4.Lawrence
3.SImona
2.Nofa
1.Teddy.

Then its Koro that misses out......who basically was brilliant before injury and leaves Reddy off the map.Unless he plays him as a backrower.

Ps,,,,that is one speedy/tasty backline, with some grunt too.

Good to see some strong competition in the outside backs. I would love to see Nofo, teddy, koro & Simona all earning a starting spot. A lot of power, pace & heart in that lot. Which only leaves 1 spot up for grabs between Lawrence & Richards.

Haven't seen much of Richards in the past few years & rowdy has been struggling so it will be interesting to see how Pottsy goes.
