the bill- boards you see alot on the hwy and buildings say

" jesus is the answer"

can someone tell me the what is question?.

The question is - **who is the saviour of the world**?

chuck norris

LOL, only in the movies, but I would've said Steven Segal!

For any religious people on this forum, answer me ONE question,
IF there is a god, and since he is almighty and all that yattah yattah, then why does he allow children (18 months old in the case of my nephew) to get a basically incureable disease such as cancer?
My nephew Bailey was diagnosed at 18months, he died when he was 38months old! He endured over 600 procedures over 20 long and painful months! Radiation, chemotherapy, stem cell replacement, surgeries, you name it, he had it!
So go on, let me know why a all knowing, all mighty being would allow an innocent child to develop something like this!!! I had one bloke that knocked on my door answered that question with "the lord works in mysterious ways"
I VERY politely told him to remove himself from my property before I ram his bible up his backside ( only reason it was polite was because my son was right beside me!)
However, if my son chooses to believe, that is his choice, I will not stand in his way as long as he doesn't try to convert me!

All religion tries to do, at its core, is guide us to live a moral and just life and to treat others with love and respect and to help us make important right and wrong decisions in life. Anything else are just stories that help us overcome common problems and situations or help us understand why things are the way they are. God doesn't have to be a someone. God can be metaphor for anything. God could be the very thing that caused the big bang for instance, but that's not really the point. People say there is no 'proof', but if I was out and about in my Jeep, off roading in the Kimberly or something, sitting on cliff side watching the sun set, illuminating the landscape of this amazing country, in glorious shades of earthy reds, in that instant, I can understand why people believe in something bigger and better than us, and I feel sorry for those that believe that the wonderful world that we live on, is just an accident.

Can he hurry up then…..I'm not getting any younger!

Or Laurie Daley as a rugby league commentator?
IMO if God was an NRL commentator, I think he'd look and sound like Phil Gould

Sorry for your loss. Even tho a god couldn't save or prevent your nephew for getting cancer, a god certainly didn't give it to him either. My nephew is autistic, i've cursed towards the sky wondering why he had to have a disability, why i can't have a life with him without constant struggle, but i don't blame some all powerful for not stopping it. The human body is infinitely complex, and cancer or disabilities are apart of the natural world. Sometimes it just doesn't work out. Sorry about your loss again.

I am a proud atheist.
Religion causes more deaths than anything in the world.
Religion causes 99% of the wars.
Religion causes 99% of the violence in the middle east
religion stops us from seeing the beauty of some arab women in short skirts
Religion was made up by someone smoking a lil bit of grass

**RELIGION IS HELL AND EVIL**

Proud?

Why proud?

Do you know the difference between spirituality & religion?

Adman, you've probably summed it up the best. It's all a matter of perception and interpretation.

Any personal insults towards members choice of religion (or lack thereof,) will not be tolerated.

If that makes you proud then good for you.
Pride comes in many forms I guess.
I'm proud of my kids, and the way Ive raised them. Theyre polite and generally good kids.
I'm proud when I do a good hard days work. My bosses and workmates respect me.
You earn pride imo.

i think its weird that some people believe that you need to have a religion to believe that god exists

If those of you that think there is a God, tell me – who does God support?
Let me guess, he's indecisive and instead supports everyone and no one.

I think there has to be something that created existence. But if anyone has seen the doco, zeitgeist, it raises some really interesting facts of how the bible was seemigly derived from the ancient sun worshiping religions.

I agree with most, would love just a bit of evidence that the bible is something to be taken seriously.
