Godinet.......

Ordinary first stint, much better second stint.

But with Reynolds back soon I can only assume that Reynolds comes to bench and Liddle starts, Godinet hits ISP, Benji stays at #6.

I agree. So Godinet plays ISP meaning McIlwrick plays bench for ISP. That’s a long fall from the number 9 for first grade.

Such is our depth.

I'm gonna defend Godinet here, I think he's been fantastic and has contributed to the success of this team as much as anyone.
For a bloke who has found himself in the NRL I take my hat off to him, he's probably not quite up to the best 9s but you can't question his effort, commitment or guts and that's all you can ask for.

Speed hump and a poor kick, sure, but if he doesn't get a hold of them, he at least puts in the effort to get there, unlike MMc, then puts his body on the line and slows the giants down for others to help. He has played more time than others put together at the absolute heart of a team that is 4 and 1 and could have been unbeaten.

Godinet has been doing plenty right, asking questions at the ruck with his service to give a bit more space to his runners. The chalk and cheese like difference on show now that a star in the making in Liddle is back on deck, should not be confused with Pita's comparison to others.

Hard to argue with too much of that. Just don't ever, ever, ever think about kicking the ball again.

Not a first grader, and the last 2 weeks have proven that. Should never started ahead of McIlwrick.

Have to agree, was hoping he would put his kicking boots away this week…..

He is more dangerous than MM in attack but 2 weeks in a row has made some really costly errors. Referring to mainly the kicks, I would rather run the ball on the last than have him kicking. I am not sure about the forward pass it didn't look forward but the way he passes half his passes look forward because he stands still...

He struggles in defence sometimes and I notice him not in the line at times.

Hopefully Liddle+Reynolds is the answer.

I have to agree with TIGER on this one….also remember,Pita and MM both knew that Liddle was always going to be first choice hooker when back from injury...Ivan would of expected them to fill the void until then, and to their credit they have stepped up and done the best they can to help the team out irrespective of their errors and level of playing standard..I thank them for being part of this SQUAD and their efforts....

Good post TT - agree they have done their best, you can't ask more than that.

Liddle to start for Goodinet with Reynolds the bench utility until Reynolds can take over with Benji off the bench. ET comes in with Eiso back to the bench. If Packer is out I’d bring in Twal to start Eiso is more effective coming in when the heat is out of the game.

Rochow is the player that is starting to slow down ineffective running the ball and defence is struggling.

I think Rochow is playing a lot of minutes and swapping between the middle and the edge. It would be good if our backrowers could get a rest, but the interchanges seem to be focussed around dummy half & middle forwards.
