Golf Tips

Tried it, but could not come to grips with hitting a ball and chasing It around for hours, particularly as I think dogs that chase balls are stupid.

Love my 7 iron, i would happily play an entire round with it alone. even putt with it

Yeah its my club that I can fade or draw (along with the 4 iron ) and can hit it a fair way, yet give me an 8 iron and its a fair chance I will chuck in a tree ,at my bag  , same with my 3 iron

Going to 8, 9, PW LW SW all good, 6 hit and miss, but forget anything lower a spray them. thank god for hybrids they keep my long game somewhat respectable.

Wedges were always good hitting a full shot , but whenever could within 15-20 metres I was a texas wedger

Loved my 4 iron and my driver when it was on , bought a King Cobra 375 series back in the day , the longest drive day was only the 3rd or 4th time I had used it , added probably 40 metres to my game

Going to give it on last burl to try and start playing again in the new year , miss it so much but the amount of swelling and pain I get in my knee after 11 or 12 holes is hell and I pay for it for days after , also not fun when you hit 80% of all shots thin because your coming out of swings early

My game has improved with age cause the body won't let me swing like an ape. But my shoulders and neck are my problem. Pain away is a god send.
I have a Bertha and Taylor made but I still prefer my Calloway offset its old but reliable. I keep threatening to buy a new one but I just don't want to spend that much for 6 games a year.

A simple and obvious point of note, is to keep your head still, focused on where you're striking the ball as long as possible through the swing.

Something I'm terrible at maintaining.

You've never played league, soccer, afl, cricket, basketball, tennis, squash, not even hand ball at school?

Cause they all involve chasing a ball in some way or another.

Good thing about golf is can you have a beer and a chat while playing which you can't do with the other games.

But if you are just a spectator then its probably not the most exciting to watch.

The good thing about golf is it one of the few sports that multi generational players can compete on a even footing

Yeah TCL, but I wasn't the only one in the contest with the said ball in those sports. Each to their own, but oddly enough I quite enjoyed the odd games of bowls that I have played.

Have only played a round with a couple of quality young female golfers respectively that I was playing around with at the time and a hit on a driving range, so not much experience with a set of clubs.

1 - Dont try to smash the Ball. If the club connects it will do the Majority of the work

2 - If your not super tall, get the shafts shortened.

Bowls is a lot of fun, I've played a few barefoot events and with some mates who play regularly and it was great. I just love playing any sport the body can handle now days.
