Bryson DeChambeau has received a 2-shot penalty for violations surrounding improving his lie on the 5th hole in Round 2 of The Open Championship.
DeChambeau believed he finished his second round in solo 2nd before becoming aware of the violation and applied penalty.
He now sits at 5-under heading into the weekend T-5 following an hour-plus discussion with rules officials.

I think the pressure got to Lucas the last couple of holes, but gee he played well. Looking forward to seeing how he goes tonight. At least there is Golf on if the Tigers are getting flogged 🙂

Amazing score when you consider he only managed to par both the par 5s. I had him shooting 58 at one stage. Hope he can be in contention on Sunday going down the back nine.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke. I wish they disqualified him! Not my favourite golfer, especially after the Ryder cup

Cam Young is in a good position to have a crack at the open. He has been there about in a few majors.

good on him overcoming a Queensland impediment doesnt stop him striking the ball well 🙂
he goes for his shots, hope he wins not confident he has a good round 3
I like Hatton he cracks the s%its with a bad shot, it is like watching a round of club golf
