Good effort/dumb plays

Pretty happy with the effort of the boys.

We held our own against the storm but a couple of bad plays blew any chance.

Halatau not pushing across from marker on Chambers gave them a try before halftime and Farah bombed a 5 man overlap in the 57th minute. That takes a 28-6 scoreline to 22-12\. Not bad really. Those 2 bad plays should not have happened.

Our set of 6 before Melbournes 4th try we deserved 3 penalties yet didnt get it. Then they got the ball and boom…penalty to them.

I could also throw in Melbournes 5th try when it was 3 on 3 and Halatau couldnt count and came in letting Chambers on his outside, but i can let that go as he isnt a centre.

Considering the team we fielded, losing a winger, and a few plays that we should not have done and its a nail biter.

Not bad.

I was pretty disappointed. Admittedly we are down a lot of players but dumb mistakes just keep us out of the game.

I'd like to see us play with some discipline and I'd like to see the team play like they have a game plan.

Yeah nice positive thread but we had all the rub of the green tonight and got spanked. Storm at full strength vs. us without Tedesco, Nofoaluma, Brooks among others… not really a fair fight.

Akauola got found out playing out of position. Speed burnt Halatau out wide. Three tries right there due to players playing out of position. Pretty simple

The Title of this thread just about sums up the season.

This team has a lot of talent but keeps coming up with poor options in attack and gives away silly penalties.

I think that Potter seems to have created a good culture in that the side keeps making effort but I dont see a lot of improvement in many players performances or in cohesion in the team.

Never had a chance with that backline. tried hard.

We don"t need a new coach we need better injury management and prevention.

I 100% agree but the reality is highly unlikely we will make the 8 and that means a new coach for 2015.. The board now have the excuse they were looking for to jettison Potter…

I'm sure it's not in Potters contract that he has to make the top 8 this year ?
He had to make the 8 last year but the board didn't want to be paying three coaches ?
I have more chance picking up Jennifer Hawkins than we do of making the top 8 !

Potter has not been given a fair chance. The board should be judged, not the coach. Farah and Benji did the wrong thing last year, the boys' club. Players should play, but these boys have their head in the clouds, their shoes too big for them to fit them. Even now Benji has admitted he wasn't even fit at all in the last few years. What Benji and Farahs did in the last few years were shameful. Time the players grow up, just play foot ball, not made managerial decisions which is beyond them. The players are too far ahead of themselves. Players in other clubs seemed to be more humble and humid, whereas our boys started demanding as soon as they show a bit of talent. Look at Tesdesco. So far Blooks and Moses and the younger players have not shown these traits, we may have some hopes yet. The players are being judged by the way they played, not he way they crowed. We should also check on the reason for having more than our share of injuries.
