Just a quick note to all our North Qld brothers and hope you stay safe and dry during our first cyclone of the season

Not a biggie , but still punching out about 100kph winds

Hoping we can get a couple of hundred mls of rain down here , we need it

The only drawback to living in paradise is putting up with these bastards of things. This one isn't too bad, but its plenty wet. Good luck to those more south.

Not really mate, about 14 inches this year so far. Got a bit yesterday but the storm is hitting a few 100 k's south more than us

I'm hopeful we will get a bit if it keeps tracking SW

We might get some Saturday 😛ray:

Thanks everyone.
Dylan is supposed to cross the coast at Ayr around 4am tomorrow.
Its now a cat 2
We will feel some of the wind up here as Ayr is just down the road
However they are sometimes hard to predict.
It has rained heavy in Townsville on and off since noon
But we need the rain

Any flooding up at Townsville Poppa ??

HI happy tiger.
Some flooding in the lower lying suburbs of city, south Townsville, railway estate
but caused by a king tide not Dylan
there was much concern for tomorrow as there is another king tide which should hit the same suburbs about the time Dylan was to hit Townsville
So with Dylan moving more to the south they now only have to worry about the king tide
and that pose a problem in itself for the people over that way.
Thank God for the Army 3rd Brigade up here they do a great job when tragedy hits..

Thanks for all the feedback Poppa , very much appreciated

Steady rain and strong winds in Rocky for a couple of days now. Wind and rain easing slightly today.

Drove back from Townsville on Wednesday and around Proserpine was already waterlogged. They must have had big storms before Dylan. There'll be nowhere for all the cyclone water to go.
