Gordon being punted by eels

18 months ago I'd have been all for this

He's just lost that half a yard of pace that made him dangerous , bit like Wade MacKinnon was in the end

Steady on, he's not that busted! He's still got a season and a half of decent footy in him, he's a smart player that's never really relied too much on outright speed.

There's talk that he's potentially going to be a mid season release to the Roosters with Brendan Elliott heading off to Newcastle.

Can we transplant his kicking leg to own of our boys ??

How much would that cost ??

I was a huge fan of Gordon's Nelson , but with Teddy at the back he won't come for that very reason

Yeah I'm not sure about that. If the talk of the Roosters is true I doubt he'd be displacing Latrell Mitchell. I think he's probably mature enough to realise that a first grade fullback spot might be behind him. He wouldn't be ahead of many starting fullbacks now - maybe at the Knights or Souths. He'd be better than Wighton for the Raiders but they won't get rid of him and he'd be better than Zillman at the Titans, but then so is David Mead who can't get a look in.

Knights should go after him. I can't see Gagai working out back there and they need some cool heads among that inexperienced back line.

I agree with Milky that if we had the cash to go for him then he'd be an option in the centres. He's solid, reads the game well and can set up his outside man. He'd be a stop-gap option though given his age.

Also rumour going around. Eel's 600K over cap for next year with player upgrades written into contract s

No thanks. Good solid player in his day but way past it now. We need players who are young and quick off the mark and Gordon's lost a lot of pace the last few seasons

Well that's a bit of a shock. He was dead keen on being there. What's happened? Not for us though.

Salary cap sacrifice to keep Corey Norman.

That's bloody disgraceful given recent events concerning Corey Norman. Some people are almost untouchable are they?

He will only play at Fullback.

Furthermore, he isn't that fast anymore. Got dodgy knees too.

Not ideal for a bloke about to turn 33.
