GRANT JONES NAMES U20S TEAM TO PLAY PENRITH
9/08/2011 5:03:42 PM
Wests Tigers U20s Coach Grant Jones has named his side to play Penrith Panthers at Centrebet Stadium this Friday night.
Jones will be looking for a vast improvement from his side after their disappointing performance against St George-Illawarra last Friday.
Wests Tigers sit in seventh place on the NYC ladder.
Kick-off is 5.15pm.
1\. James Tedesco
2\. Justin Smith
3\. Tim Simona
4\. Kyle Lovett
5\. David Nofoaluma
6\. Matt Evans
7\. Jacob Miller
8\. Neil Begovich
9\. Pat Politoni
10\. Sebastian Vourlos
11\. Mason Talolua
12\. Ben Murdoch-Masila
13\. Joel Luani
14\. Mosese Fotuaika
15\. Taquele Naiyarovaro
16\. Ben Saunders
17\. Jay Masueli
Justin Smith is a solid player. Koriobete has looked injured for a few weeks now.
Kyle Lovett is the big Centre we need.
Matt Evans always tries hard and will go OK replacing Sirro.
Jay Masueli has been playing well and at least he is a front rower.
It's the regulars who need to find something in particular Jacob Miller also Tim Simona David Nofoaluma Pat Politoni and Ben Murdoch-Masila
Same halfback Same Hooker Same Coach = Same Result
No organisation too shallow in attack and the same attacking plays close to the line which don't work. They had about 30 tackles in a row on Penrith's line and couldn't score.
James Tedesco, Taqele Naiyaravaro, Sebastian Vourlos and Neil Begovich the best.
The team needs a new Halfback the bloke that is their at the moment can not organise the attack and Since the cowboys game teams have worked out that if you want to score just run your big men at Miller.
The only game they have won in the last 5 weeks is the one game Miller didn't play against Manly..The season is over.

Wests Tigers turned in a disappointing performance for the second consecutive week in losing 26-6 to Penrith Panthers at Centrebet Stadium tonight in round 23 of the U20s competition.
The loss leaves Wests Tigers on 26 points in seventh place with three rounds remaining. Wests Tigers have scored just 6 points in their past two matches.
Wests Tigers first real attacking chance came in the 11th minute when prop Neil Begovich made a strong 15 metre run up the middle but his pass to full-back James Tedesco was taken by a Panthers player 5 metres out from Penrith’s tryline.
Nine minutes later, Wests Tigers were denied a try when winger Limoni Kamuta was ruled to place a foot on the sideline after a cut out pass from Tedesco.
Penrith opened the scoring in the 29th minute when centre Tom Einsenhuth bumped off Kamuta to score out wide after good lead up work by half-back Tim Dengate. Lock Kurt Horton failed to convert the try for a 4-0 scoreline.

2nd Half
Penrith jumped to an 8-0 lead when a crossfield bomb by Dengate was spilt by Kamuta for winger Malakai Watene-Zelezniak to score in the corner. Horton converted the try for a 10-0 lead after 43 minutes.
Wests Tigers opened their account when Mosese Fotuaika used his strength to crash over under the posts from a short pass from dummy half. Centre Tim Simona converted the try to leave Wests Tigers trailing 10-6 after 49 minutes.
Penrith extended their lead to 14-6 when winger Andrew Pelasio raced 30 metres to score after a short pass from full-back Matthew Moylan. Horton converted the try for a 16-6 lead after 53 minutes.
Tedesco was denied a try 2 minutes later when the referee ruled he lost the ball forward in sliding to the tryline to score after a break by five-eighth Matt Evans.
Penrith went further ahead when second-rower Vaipuna Tia Kilifi dived over in the corner for a 20-6 lead after 73 minutes. The try was not converted.
Tia Kilifi sealed the win when he brushed off Ben Murdoch Masila to race 60 metres from a scrum feed to score out wide. The try was converted by Horton for a 26-6 scoreline.
