Remember the events that made the hair on the back of your neck stand up even now when you watch them today .For me they are in no particular order
1 Winning the Americas Cup in 83
2 Keiran Perkins winning 1500 metres in Atlanta
3 Duncan Armstrong winning gold and Lawrie Laurence in the crowd screaming "Let the animal loose'
4 Jeff Harding beating Dennis Andries to win world title
5 Australia beating the West Indies in the West Indies to win Frank Worrell trophy and become unofficial world champs
6 The noise when Artie Beetson ran out for Qld in the first ever State of Origin unbelieveable
Anyone keen to add their thoughts ???
 
In no order
1\. Wests Tigers winning the comp
2\. Aloisi netting the winning penalty to qualify for the world cup
3\. Cahill scoring a double to put us ahead against Japan, before Aloisi finished it off
4\. Andrew Johns performance after his questionable origin recall, game 2, 2005
5\. Shaun Timmins of all people scoring the match winning field goal in golden point of origin, game 1, 2004
 
Loved Perko swim Happy and Mals try Vietcong…great moments indeed.

I have three that really stick out for me due to the fact that I was in the crowd going off my rocker at all of them. They were the most sensational events I've ever witnessed and will stay with me forever.

#3 = Queenslands miracle try to win in SOO 94\. I still cant believe it happened! The VERY best origin try ever scored in one of the best series ever played.....

#2 = 2002/03 Ashes series, SCG test. Australia is under the pump and 37 year old Steve Waugh comes to the crease to try and save the innings and test. In front of 40 000 screaming people, he produces one of the greatest knocks ever including this drama filled last over, which took about 10 minutes to bowl, where he needs 5 runs for his century in a session.....

#1 = Sentimental for so many reasons but essentially the greatest night of my life. The 2005 preliminary final btween Wests Tigers and St George Illawarra Dragons. Completely outnumbered, and ridiculed all week, the side produced an amazing effort to top the raging hot favourites for the title. I've never hugged so many strangers in my life. I still get chills thinking about the game and the atmosphere that we supplied. It was quite simply 'one magnificent night'.....

i will never forget that match. that was awesome

for myself, beating dragons in the finals in 2005 and our grandfinal win in 2005\. i almost missed out on tickets for both games but ALOT of luck found tickets come my way.

also, australia beating uruguay which got us into the soccer world cup is a great sporting moment for our country

5\. Steven Bradbury's come-from-behind win at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games. It's probably memorable for all the wrong reasons, but it is proof that if you work hard to get to the big stage, a win is every bit influenced by luck as it is by skill. It was over for him for all intents and purposes and it just seemed fitting that had happened to an Australian.

4\. Michael Bevan's get out of jail knock against the West Indies in the New Years Day ODI in 1996\. 6/38 chasing 174 for a win, he blasted 78 runs famously winning the match with a straight driven boundary on the last ball.

3\. John Aloisi's penalty against Uruguay in 2005\. That admission into the World Cup was a crucial moment for Australian football at all levels. The actual World Cup campaign in Germany was phenomenal as well, until we were robbed against Italy.

2\. 2nd October 2005\. Enough said.

1\. 24th September 2005\. The match wasn't just special because we beat the hot favourites for the title, but for every emotion that every Wests Tigers supporter must have copped during that week. Written off, outnumbered ridiculously at the ground. Heckled by a few St George mates all week that I was going to the game to with. All of that was worth it to see their faces at fulltime.
 
I enjoyed the win over the Broncos in the semis 05 as much as any. At the start of the year the Broncos annual/weekly whine they had criticised the NRL draw because they played 'weak' sides like Tigers at Suncorp that wouldn't draw a crowd. Typical arrogance.

Balmain winning mid week comps 76,85,87 the most succesful team in that comp.was there for all

BALMAIN making 88 89 grand finals EVEN THOUGH WE LOST.

Many ashes victorys against england are always special.

NSW winning origin series in 85.

Having balmain players at my sisters birthday is a good memory.

no thats right mate parra beat us in 86 and the game i didnt go to was 88 stgeorge they were the good old days.Im not sure why i didnt go to the 88 decider.

It was a great day. What's the issue?
 
1\. The semi against St George in 2005, esp. when Barrett got penalised for walking of the mark

2\. David Gillespie's big left foot step to score the first try when Magpies beat Bulldogs in the playoff for 5th spot in 1991.

3\. Seeing the Magpies play for the first time in 1988 against the Gold Coast. Jason Stafford scored a 90m try along the left touch with only one boot on, in front of a massive crowd of about 4000.
