Greg Inglis to retire in 2020

Toddy now saying players will face harsher penalties.

In other words the goalposts have shifted and more inconsistencies.

Player one gets a couple of tests and a reference, player 2 cops a season.

Absolute rabble.

The phrase "shut the gate after the horse has bolted" was surely coined with the NRL firmly in mind. What a reactionary, incompetent bunch of halfwits. It is beyond laughable.

I would love to organise a podcast where FTB could bail up Greenberg in an interview. It would be a massacre hahaha….

Greenberg should have a "meet the supporters" day where everyone can ask him a question. They could charge a hefty fee to go but the only problem is there is not a big enough venue in Australia to satisfy demand.

 I would be nothing but complimentary to Mr Greenberg CB, he is a fine upstanding gent doing an exemplary job running the game :stuck_out_tongue:

If Inglis is ever made an immortal that will do me.

Not an immortals bootlace. I guess people could play the "odd one out" with a pack of Immortal cards.

If it ever does happen the other immortals should all hand their titles back.

The guy doesn't deserve to be still playing the game - let alone an immortal.

I agree but I’ll mention one thing: Andrew Johns.

I'll just say, one more thing Steve - I knew someone would bring that up - not performance enhancing drugs, not a cap cheat, not a wife basher and I don't think DUI to a level of this grub.

And not to mention, Johns was a brilliant player who actually played consistently well all throughout his career.

Even without taking his off field grub antics into account, Inglis has been the most overrated hack on the playing field for about 4 years now. Always built up by the media, but often goes missing during matches, doesn't have anywhere near the impact in a game like he did in his early years at Melbourne, more often injured than not and can barely string 2 sentences together when interviewed.

I'm with you Russell, if this bloke gets anywhere near being mentioned as a possible 'immortal' it would make a joke of the whole thing. Odds on he will be though, such is the bias in the media and the NRL.

Injured Greg Inglis doubtful for South Sydney during NRL trials

South Sydney captain Greg Inglis could miss the Rabbitohs' NRL pre-season trial program after aggravating a knee injury.

Inglis reported discomfort with the knee he had reconstructed in 2017 during recent training sessions and is now on restricted duties.

"He has just got some soreness there, it is not a major concern," coach Wayne Bennett told The Daily Telegraph. Inglis, 32, is expected to miss the Indigenous All Stars exhibition match against the Maori All Stars in Melbourne on February 15.

He is also unlikely to play any trial matches, a schedule which opens with a game against Penrith at Redfern Oval on February 23\. Alex Johnston is expected to play fullback in the short-term, the position Inglis wants to fill this season.
