When i first saw the OPs post i thought no way. But it might be a way of raiding Penrith - there would have to be some players who didn't like the way Griffin was treated in this - especially some of the younger brigade that he has brought through. Also if what he says is true he would have a very good insight in to who the next lot of juniors at Penrith that will be pushing through to NRL. Plus i would think Griffin would join the queue of people who would like to stick it to Gus - and raiding "his" club would certainly be a way of doing that.
