Gus said in his Podcast that there has been problems with the cultural at Penrith for some time.
Voldemort said before R1 Gus achieved what he needed to at the club. Does he mean the board have got everything they need out of Gus.?
Maybe Penrith will have an unstable year

Cleary was signed by the chairman and supported by the board unilaterally. Cleary come out and says Gus job has been done. Gus comes out and praises the Eels and criticises the Panthers after round one.

Love him or hate him Gus has single handedly resuscitated the Panthers but I sense he’s been sidelined and will walk away.

He’d be better off running the NRL. No one more knowledgeable.

I doubt Gould would put himself into a position where his decisions would come under such high levels of scrutiny. I think his ego would be too precious to ever consider taking up a role with the NRL. It's a shame as I think he could have make some good contributions.

Yeah maybe not CEO. He'd be handy to have as an advisor or something like that though. Despite what he did to us, he's done well pulling Penrith out of the proverbial. Yeah they haven't won a premiership or anything like that, but he's laid a pretty good platform for them to be routine features in the top 8.

Could be handy to have that sort of thinking directing the game, rather than just one set of interests at a club.

I think you're 100% right, I would love to see someone like Gould involved with the direction of the game. Instead of numpties like Grant and Beattie.

I used to really like Gus until he screwed us over. He is an absolute snake, but the man knows rugby league inside and out.
