Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Does anyone know where we can find a halfback for next season? We need a leader, an organiser, a kicker.

The boys tried but it was complete chaos out there when we had the ball. No plan.

Im not sure the move is another halfback. We have the most talented 19 year old halfback in the world. Its more about getting the coaching and reps in to make sure these guys start targeting our strengths more when under pressure. Laui was terrible in the second half. He showed no composure at all.
Benji needs to work bloody hard on Jarome and Latu, but also all players around them. All 13 on the field should know what the percentage play is at any given moment, but they don't.

AOB in an interview with carryannis reckons he doesnt want to.be a head coach for a.long time but he thinks he has lots to offer a young head coach.

Probably wants brownies job at parra lol
i hope there’s some sort of change with our assistants or coaching staff in the off season, aob had the knights defending very well for most years just lacked attack. raiders are changing attack coaches. i think they’d have something to offer to help benji

AOB was part of a pretty successful Roosters team...I think they won the GF while he was there.

Was also an assistant with Bellamy.

From what I understand, the Head Coach doesn't do much coaching? He could be a nice addition to the assistant staff - also, in fairness, he did make a ton of finals with a pretty mediocre team at Newcastle.

I noticed he didn't get much criticism from those around the game...I think the setup over there is rubbish right now and he's also been saddled with the worlds highest paid reserve grader for the next 10 years...I'd leave mutually too. He had no room to make anything better and neither will the next guy. He could be an astute pickup.

Mason, Hunt and Murray only played 40 mins between them yesterday for a combined 63 metres … Sukkar was better at 32 mins ,,..but they need more impact off the bench …
This is our issue. On what we have now next years bench would be Latu Fainu/AD, Pole, Seyfarth, Sukkar.

Personally I’d like to see us target a starting prop and have both Sione and Pole come off the bench. Both Seyfarth and Sukkar who do a decent job need to be upgraded.

Well he is at least able kick on the last tackle.
Yeah, what was all that shit about dying with the ball on the last tackle.

Can be a great option at times to hand over the ball inside the oppositions 10 metre line if you don't want to risk giving away a 7 tackle set, but we handed it over 30 or 40 metres out on occasions when we should have been putting up a high bomb, talk about gifting field position.

Can they find a kicking coach and maybe devise some sort of options or tactics to implement in the opposition red zone, we really are clueless at the moment.

But Doueihi isn't a halfback either. Can't pass or organise. He literally is just there to put up high kicks
That’s not true this year. He has been doing a lot of organising, a lot of on field rev ups and motivation. Some decent defence and his running game has been very strong. His ball playing has also been up there with all other options.

He wants to play with Perth in 27 according to the rumours …in the meantime he has signed to go to the South of France next year
Would have been a perfect signing for a year, our blokes might have learnt something and in any case he wouldn't make us any worse than what we are with our red zone/last tackle options and in the worst possible scenario he strengthen our KOE team, this is of course assuming we have the Bud situation sorted.
