Gus One on One with Benji....

Benji got a bit emotional at the end when Gus spoke about how Benji overcame all his injuries and is now one of the best players in the NRL. You could see it in Benji's eyes.

agree with what everyone else has said.
I very rarely watch the footy show but am glad I did last night.
Quality stuff.

I didnt see it as i dont watch the footy show, but i think the reason Benji may have got emotional is because he's been in that Braith Anasta and brett Finch bracket where he's much maligned and often called overrated. Its a very difficult tag to get rid of, and benji has done it in the space of half a season of consistant footy. Its not just Tigers supporters who rate him now, everyone does. Thats a huge achievement, because when your considered overrated by the fans and even his peers, the mud tends to stick for a long time. He must feel like he's walking on air so much weight has been lifted off him.

Tuiaki has been my favourite player for the past 3 years, but how could Benji not be your favourite now? Its a battle royale at the moment for the games best player. Marshall, Hayne and Thurston seem to be fighting it out with Smith just behind. And i wouldnt write of Inglis just yet either.

That was an excellent piece last night. Gould offered a great analysis of Marshall's game as well as asking some good questions. You could see the emotion in Benji right at the end when Gus talked him up.

One thing Benji did say which caught my attention was that the Tigers will not play as poorly again this season as what they did against the Roosters. I hope this proves to be the case. I'm confident the Tigers will beat the Raiders but they cannot turn up expecting to win down there, they have to turn up with the right attitude and execute well.

Wow what a great interview.

I was actually tearing up myself.

On Bunji…..you could see it starting to happen last year.

He is now the freak we all could see he had in him.He is so measured now,and picks his moments to do his stuff.

And for all his has gone through to get there.

He is one tough litle tiger.

I could not be prouder.

Nobody understands the game as well as Gould, when/if Sheens stands down or is pushed, you would have Gould in a heartbeat. That was an extremely insightful piece and shows what an absolute champion we have at 5/8, credit to both of them, great advertisement for the game.

It was probably the best segment I've ever seen on the Footy Show.

Gould is just fantastic and it's great television when he is disecting a game or a player like he did last night.

I would give my left nut for Gould to coach us, but it will never happen. Why would you leave a
cushy media job for the stressful life of coaching? Wouldn't make any sense.

Gould should be Origin coach at the very least though.

Great televison!! I love what Sterling said at the end along the lines of "i was gonna pick the tigers by 2 but after that ill pick them by 42" it was really how i felt as well. Get ready for Bunji to absolutely explode on Sunday!!

On the footy show….dissecting the Parra game....

*Talked about pride coming back from a drubbing against the Rorters...
* Praised the forwards for the win....I got Man of the match but it belonged to them...
* The field goal first he's ever kicked...early field goal was in the gameplan
* Lortay is a freak...
*Both Farah and he share the decisions on the field...the tap instead of the 2 points just after half time....
*the Evolution of Marshall by Gus was legendary stuff....I'm learning composure it's something I haven't had in the past...
*In the end Benji said it's the team I have around me that makes me look better...

Then it became a Gus love in......Praising Marshall....

Marshall finished off with Canberra will be very tough to beat down there....some class player in Campese and Harrison is tearing it up on the right...we will have to be on our game....

Love Ya Work Benji.......

dude, can you stop calling them the 'Rorters'.

it is not funny nor creative

Gould is a very good coach. He doesnt get it wrong very often. I nearly always enjoy listening to him commentate, except where he is being a smart aleck about one of Rabs silly fluff comments - leave the old man alone Gus.

Kind of blows Geo's _one halfback on either side of the ruck_ theory out the window doesn't it?

Actually its not really Geo's theory its what the Fonz tells people how we play our game and people like Geo believe him.

With Benji, in those plays that Gus highlighted he is standing one or two positions wider than halfback !

Touche'

Where are my knockers now?

In this game Bug…....hahahahaha....

Check out the RORTERS game......

How often did Benji come down the right last friday.......Answer....duckegg.....

Oh and who was the bloke in the 7 that allowed Marshall to get as wide as he wanted camped on the left.....Moltzen....
