Skipping ahead a bit. Origin game 2\. Does Halatau play 80 minutes or do we ressurect Cherrington?

We have the BYE preceding Origin 2..

Not really seeing the fuss,,**Farah will unlikely play 80** ..so I can see the merit of him coming on after 20-25 min mark and playing the rest of the game….this will again be played through the middle ....rather have Farah out there the 10 before and after HT than sitting on the pine...only uses 1 interchange as well...

why's that? he wouldn't have played in 10 days and won't play for another 10 days after that.

this cat and mouse game has to stop, if he has a problem with robbie's attitude or his playing style, just drop him rather than doing crap like "Resting" and playing him off the bench.

currently, no one in the club can provide even 50% of the service that robbie gives us. robbie's a pest but he's the best we have and if i was a player who gave 100% each game, i would hate to loose a game like the roosters one coz the coach was too stubborn to pick the right team.

Given the make up of the side as well as my opinion Farah is no longer an 80 min player…

I don't want to throw any extra fuel on the fire, but this talk of Farah giving the Tigers the best service out of hooker is starting to sound like a belief rather than fact. I've watched every game this year for the Tigers & am yet to think the team is better served with him in the side. Halatau makes his share of mistakes, I'll agree to that. But, for whatever reason, the play of the 2 halves improves somewhat with Farah out.

I don't think it's a dig at Farah that's he's not playing 80\. We've had 2 hookers in every one of our games. I think it's a sound game plan (but is obviously much better if you have a good back-up).

I'd rather have Farah playing the last 60 than the first 60.

This is true. Hes a better hooker than halatua but is he a better option for the team?
Results would suggest otherwise.

Farah has to play 80 minutes until we sign a suitable replacement. Our genius of a coach needs to allow him to run and engage defenders before involving the halves. We won't win with Farah shovelling the ball off the deck he is not the best passer off the ground but a great runner.

taylor needs to learn how to best use his squad and put aside pre determined game plans and feuds.

Good luck with that JT seems reluctant to learn or alter his mindset

Spot on, exhibit A our right side defence, exhibit B the hooker debacle, exhibit C our defence 25.92 points per game, exibit D no accountability, I could go on but whats the point, jadtiger is right JT won't learn from his mistakes.

Yeah, but you've gotta admit "were heading in the right direction, "and , of course the old chestnut, " it's better than it looks".

Is Taylor selecting the side or is it someone else? Ive read differing things on here and TT seems to be the one everyone believes to be the info man. He suggested he does not pick the side.

I just want to know the facts before i beat someones brain in.

When we were 3 from 4 a few werr hailing the selection team for doing great work. One loss and now its all down to Taylor. Funny hey?

I blame him for the no hooker debacle last week, Farah wanted to play, and ET was our best 3 games in a row from lock and should not have played hooker.

No argument there. Ridiculous decision.
I just find it amusing that the 'selection team' do a great job when we win. Bit Taylor is a nut job if we lose.

With what has happened we start with Robbie , hope to get of to a good start and play Robbie til he drops

Then bring Lovett on to finish the last 20 and slip Taylor to dummy half

The key is getting a positive start , how many games have won when we haven't scored first ??

Halatau isn't the answer , we play specialized hooker off the bench , or bring a defensive player off the bench for the last 20

If we aren't leading going into the last 20 I doubt we win anyway

Yes I find that odd to …wasn't it TT who started a thread that Taylor was no longer the sole selector...so these actions/selections would be sanctioned ...Or does it flip flop depending on win/loss...

Just thought i'd leave this here

JT obviously hasn't got full control of things , gee it must be so annoying for him to have to run his selections through Buckets .

If JT didn't make so many moronic team selections in the first 10 rounds then he would probably still have full control, someone had to stop the rot.

And that is why JT has been put in the position he is in now, he could have avoided all this by picking teams on merit earlier in the season, he didn't and he is just copping the inevitable backlash, his own fault, and possibly his own undoing.

9 days later and he's done a hell of a 180.

Lets hope it is a beat up, hell Halatau has no right being in the 17, let alone starting hooker, although last week JT went with no hooker in the 17, so who knows with our stupid coach.

And to top it off he posts this pearler of a thread where he vents his spleen about JT selection process even further

Hilarious.

Lead up to origin 3 and the week after (dependign on injuries and who can back up) are the perfect time to blood Liddle in 1st grade off the bench.

The selection team picked a decent team on Tuesday, Ballin at hooker ET at lock, my problem is what JT did to that team when Ballin pulled out.
