there can be no excuse for failure.

gibbs
farah
galloway
benji
lawrence
ellis
lote (im assuming he will be picked for QLD)
fulton (named 18th man)

you can add heigno who has played rep footy as well and should of been picked ahead of dean young, so it surprising that the loss of moltzen can have have such an impact when we have 2 players who play for their countries a dual international amongst fringe state of origin players.

despite injuries to moltz and tui we still have an abundance of talent and rep players in our ranks that dont perform on the field, these players cant be over-rated as they have been rewarded with rep honors, no finals this year and i think the WT have to tear up a few contracts, one being the coach and have a brian smith type clean out, because if a team with7-8 rep players cant make a 15 team final series then heads have to roll

it depend how our rest of the season goes with injuries, fingures crossed those 7 players stay injury free because this will have a big impact on our season.

Im sure they will find an excuse, we got all the games in the heat or something like that

 It's got to you hasn't it…...

And it's night games...we dont play well at night....or in the rain or when it's too hot...or when we face big forward packs ....or when we have to win....

Funny thing is Ron actually has a point this time...

Seems the big 2 Farah and Marshall took their Wests Tigers form into the rep games...different Coaches ...same performance ....same result for their respective sides....

Bring in the broom before June 30....

well im gonna lose $100 to my mate who supports manly because i thought with them having no halves they would struggle (i bet him tigers would finish ahead of manly on the table) but they put in 2 rookies and they sit atop the table and could easily be undefeated, so how can 2 rookie halves steer a team to the top of the comp when we have an international half and hooker and we drop 3 in a row and lose a dominant start to the season?

sure it could be the players but IMO its the coaching and game plans, because if we had 2 rookies in the halve i guarentee we would be at best on 2 wins this year if any at all

We have some great players, but often as a team we look lost and struggle to work together especially with the ball. When it clicks it looks outstanding, but that hasn't happened much this year.

When your coach is someone who has no idea, you can have Trevor Cogger, Lee Crooks, and Paul Sironen in the side and we would still not make the semi's.

Manly addressed the fact they were going to lose Ox. Put some concrete adjustments in place, trained an entire offseason with some rookies and showed faith in their ability to do the job required of them in the halves.

WT on the other hand…. Ummm...errrr let's try Lui.....ummm...let's try Moltzen.....ummm...nar...Moltzen is a better fullback....coz we said so....umm...no we said Lui would not play any more lower grades last year, so he has to play halfback... ummm...errr...yeah Moltzen is not a fullback now....ummm errr oh no Lui's injured....doh....hang on let's put Moltzen back at halfback and put Ryan at fullback....errr....wow....Ryan is going pretty good at fullback...better than Moltzen....errrr....umm...oh no...Moltzen is injured....hang on...let's try a Lazarus....he ain't a halfback, because he's crap at fullback and wing....let's give Waters a go....he's a halfback.....oh no.....we can't have him playing halfback, because we moved our hooker to halfback...errr.... i know.....ummmm.....let's play Waters at hooker to replace the hooker we moved to halfback...ummmmmm.....When's Lui gonna get better.........ummm dunno......errrr.....what about Taumata....ummm yeah he'll do....

a team of champions does not make a champion team. :imp:
very frustrating as we know the team's potential, yet it cannot be achieved consistently. :unamused:
at times its bad enough to want to drown your sorrows in grog. 😕

the broncos and raiders teams of the past say otherwise storm of this era say otherwise, the gameplan in place doesnt suit the players in this team so one of 2 things has to happen bugger the players off or come up with a new gameplan because this one hasnt worked fo 4 years going on 5

the comment was only for wests-tigers team.
not really interested too much in other teams. the past is the past. if going to bring up team from past why not mention, dragons from the 60's, roosters from 70's, etc.
as for storm, they have been cheating and caught, would they have been able to win without their, main 4 playmakers. we will never know!! :unamused:
I do agree that something has to be sorted out at wests-tigers, otherwise we are going to be dis-appointed once again, come end of round 26 in september.

Errr…ummmmm...... nah i got an idea....let's bugger off all the dud players....ummm.....who do we start with....ummm Te'o...he's not worth a hundred grand....ummm who else....ummm.....Harrison...he's an overpaid crap prop.....ummm...let's get rid of Morris....we got our value out of him as our halfback for the last 3 years....ummm should we come up with a new gameplan and a new halfback....ummm....nah don't need one.....we will stick with the same gameplan....don't we need to buy a halfback....errr...nahh...we got plenty of depth in case injuries should arise.....ummmm like who....trust me we have Farah we'll get him to tell the public he loves playing halfback and all should be sweet....but who's gonna play hooker......ummm....don't worry we got other blokes to cover him...

Keep the faith CT, season's not over yet.

Maybe the season is not over for most of the teams, but it sure looks like we are about to repeat 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009\. CT is probably going to be proved right!

Very good call Ron.

I don't think the problem is solely the mindset of the players. I reckon when Moltz went down, Sheens obviously had no plan B before Lui's return, therefore in true Sheens style (as proven in previous years) he has analysed and worked on every part of the teams game (i.e. shifting players, a more resounding defensive game) rather than the obvious problem in front of him (filling the #7 adequately until Lui's return from injury.) As we saw in the game against Parramatta we put on close to an 80 minute effort which is easily the most rounded performance by the team this year both in attack and defense, so it's hard to understand why we weren't working on our attacking game and filling the void in the #7 jersey (and that jersey only.)

Fix the #7 issue and the rest of the problems will slowly iron themselves out. A strong defensive game is only effective when you're crossing the line more than your opposition.

I have been pointing the finger at Sheens for a long time, his use and selection of the bench has been diabolical for years and every year he keeps playing around with the team structure when injuries happen. Anyway Iam starting to think our so called super stars maybe not so good after all.We have had the same stuff served up to us for five years now, you have to remember we are only two wins better than the sharks, now thats scary. Its seem some teams can scrape through the hard times with the odd loss and plenty of close wins, not our mob. Really this so called group of super stars have put together about five really good games in two years.

I really think great teams are built on teamwork guts and pride and Iam not sure if our mob have any of those things working at present. Who do you blame??? The wheels keep falling off you have to start making changes at the top,we got rid of the so called deadwood at the end of last season and we are not going any better. We will still probably scrape into the eight, but thats no great achievement in this comp. I really think we lack a hard nose leader up front, a Petro,Bull Bailey or Price, a bloke who will give Robbie and benji a rev up whenthey are off their game.

Anyway do you think things will change,Tuesday tomorrow will Fitzy be first picked?????

CT sums up my feelings, when the Coach is umming and ahhing about what to do and seemingly panicking, you would think that would filter down somewhat to the players.

If the coach provided some consistency and stability, then just maybe that would reflect on the field in the mindset of the players.

I have been away for a few days and Im back to read the same old…Sheens this and that..

Of the NSW Boys ONLY Robbie staked his claim. Chris L, Gall, Gibbs were not worthy to be in the Fri night game IMO. What a let down.

Let get real none of our boys are stand out SOO Picks and England and NZ are also ran teams.

Yes We DO have Talent in abundance but we are still lacking the Maturaty an Disciplene thats required to constantly win.

Finally - Manly woul be a Diff team without Foran and lyon. Injury in the #7 is killing the Tigers.
