Halves Pairing

Lawrence shouldn't be in the NRL side, let alone as a playmaker.

If we want to be realistic a Miller & Sironen combination is the most viable considering the Tedesco injury.

Farah does the bul of our playmaking and it would give Miller a chance to put it on the line and prove whether he is up to it. All Sironen has to do is run lines and get his passing game on point and we should be fine

If Miller and Sirro are the centre pairing and Koro is fit to play next weekend one of the three,Koro, Tedesco or Moltzen will likely be dropped. That is if Lawrence and Ayshford continue as centres.

Reddy please. Most likely Tedesco though.

Why not put Lawrence at 5/8 with Moltzen at 1/2? We have a number of young promising centres who could fill in against the Broncos.

Doesn't Lawry usually mark Hodges? If this is the case, Hodges would make minced meat out of any rookie. You would have to move Reddy into the centre position to contain Hodges.

At least sirro will run the ball and might straighten up the sliding defense that just knows Marshall will pass.

I am really liking a Reddy/Ayshford centre pairing with Lawrence on one wing, Koro on the other wing and Sirro and Moltzen 5/8 and 1/2\. Tedesco at fullback.

If Siro had a different last name would he get the same amount of attention? i often wonder

Thought that a lot, but had my first look at him in a while (since he got injured) when he played country and dragons.

He looked soo comfortable in 1st grade honestly. He might not be ripping everything apart and setting the world on fire but he looked at home. Like a solid 1st grader despite being 19! But, i dunno if he can replicate his performances at 6 in 1st grade like he did in nyc. As i've said a lot, with all the halves talent he will have to find a place in the back row which he seems like he would suit. seen good runs from him and hes massive!

he deserves the rapts he's gotten, probably enhanced a bit due to his name but still.

Miller and Sirro or Moltzen and 1 of the 2\. It gonna be hard for Potter. I don't think any of them have been playing great. Moltzen probably just piping the other two, but nothing to get excitied about, is it?

Really depends on Tedesco's fitness in my opinion

If Teddy is fit ,Moltzen and Sironen a mix of speed and power Brisbane will bomb Moltzen if we pick him at fullback and we all remember what happened last season when Moltzen was fullback v Brisbane

I'd be tempted to choose Utai on the wing if Koroibete isn't fit ,Brisbane's wingers aren't overly tall

Going to be a spare parts side that for sure

Moltzen's hands have been better than Tedesco so far this year Happy, like the guy or not.

Sironen said he was not happy with his performance tonight. **He is a solid 5/8 but _has no good running game_ and that is what a 5/8 needs**. If he plays in the back row with our halves being Marshall and Brooks he may get some kicking every now and then. It would be great for the team having 4 specialist kickers on the field at once. Anasta has not been doing it great from the back row but maybe Sironen can. If Sironen plays 5/8 in future then we have no choice but to lose Luke Brooks. Also anyone think Brooks coming off the bench could be a good thing for him? Subbing with Anasta?

He said tonight on talkinsport thats what he hopes to bring to the broncos game with Moltz at 7 and a playing somewhat traditional 7 -> 6 -> 3/4's role

I used to think that too but his football changes that very quick
At this stage of his develpment I think hes going exceptionally well….future looks promising

Give him a break, is his father out ther on the field with him??? No he isn't. So there is nowhere to hide. He either plays well and get a pat on the back, or plays badly and gets dropped. The name may have helped a little, but he got there on his own, playing hard and tough. Will hopefully kick on and be well placed in a couple of years.

I think Sironen so far has looked really good but a good point is that he hasn't looked great. He needs to look great to force his way into the team. He doesn't have to be consistently great but a couple of break out games would really help.

When the guy was younger I imagine the last name would have had it's benefits, but no coach at NRL grade would be promoting him because of his father, or his status/rep. He has worked hard since the start of his NYC years to get to this point and I believe he deserve it, suffered an injury and has worked his arse off to get back where he is. He may not be a long-term halves player but he is definitely worthy of a FG spot.

Anasta- Contract expires 2014

2015 halves combo:

7\. Brooks
6\. Marshall

Marshall- Contract expires 2016

2016 halves combo:

6\. Brooks
7\. Cornish

Now that is a future for the club

BM, you clearly havent heard much about Moses otherwise you'd definitely want him at 6 and brooks at 7\. The pair have played together FOREVER at school, SG Ball and I think either Brooks or both of em made the junior Australian team. He's been injured for a bit in NYC this season though but back with sirro moving up i think. But who knows how it turns out.

Edit: hold on, we dont even have cornish at the club?? you cant actually be suggesting we BUY a soon to be expensive half? we have tooooo many options in the halves, moses, brooks, sirro even benji will be around in a few years, and his younger brother is apparently doing well in sg ball. also, cornish is locked up in a contract for several years.
