**When the guy was younger I imagine the last name would have had it's benefits,** but no coach at NRL grade would be promoting him because of his father, or his status/rep. He has worked hard since the start of his NYC years to get to this point and I believe he deserve it, suffered an injury and has worked his arse off to get back where he is. He may not be a long-term halves player but he is definitely worthy of a FG spot.

His dads/coachs booming voice from the sideline towrds a young 15 y/o ref one day during a 13's match against my sons team comes to mind.

I never said he wasn't, and i never said he was picked due to his name. What i was referring to was the hype surrounding him from the supporters. I'm not saying he's over-rated cos im sure he has talent. Over-hyped maybe? i think you can make a case for that
