Hardacker

Its great to come here with a top reputation from the ESL,however you must perform to the NRL standard to demand the high dollars Hardsaker is asking….I congratulate him on his career in England.....its an entirely different game over here and high performance week in week out is what's needed....I would pass on his services for the amount he is asking...

Still not re-signed and we still have a few outside back spots to fill (so far we haven't re-signed Malone, Peni or Charlie Taylor).

If we don't re-sign some of these blokes the. hardaker would be an okay squad addition. He can kick can't he?

Peni has signed with rugby Western Force. Charlie Taylor is also being chased by Australian rugby. Hardaker is ordinary he missed out representing England rugby league and is asking ridiculous amount of $$$$ to play here

Well if all that is correct, we certainly need to be looking at other outside back options. If Penu and Taylor and supposedly Naiqama also potentially on way out, I would think we need to be seriously on the look out.

Story is that Malone has retired due to knee injury plus his sponsor pulled the pin.

English forwards are a different kettle of fish to their backs.
.

Spot on. Pretty sure there hasn't been a decent Pommy back make an impact in the NRL/NSWRL since Ellery Hanley or Andy Courier nearly 30 years ago.
Their forwards slot straight into the grind of our comp but the backs never usually cut it.
Hardaker seems like another to be cast onto the 'useless' pile. No thanks.

What about the Welsh bloke that played for the Dogs , ex Union fella

And the best back to come to the NRL was Gary Schofield

That's why I said after Hanley and Courier, Schofield's stint was before those 2.

I think a another pretty good one played on the wing for the Knights, and yeah, Gary was good.

Carney

I keep thinking the Dogs players name was Connolly , but I don't think that's right

Johnathan Davies that's the bloke

Johnathan Davies never played in the NSWRL though did he? Gary Connelly was a decent player for the Dogs but nothing special IMO.

Yeah played for Dogs in 1991\. Also played for Cowboys in 1995 but that was technically the ARL then.

Good footballer, one of the more successful rugby union code switchers of that time IMO.
