Geo we need to throw him the dollars hopefully it gets him over the line

He’s contracted for another 3 years. We could throw 5 million a year at him and it wouldn’t matter if Melbourne don’t release. After the way they handled JAC’s release request, don’t hold your breath. They know what they have with this kid.

I thought his contract ends in 2021????

Grant is contracted to the Storm until the end of 2022..an official approach can't be made until Nov 2021 unless the Storm give him permission to do so..

Media/fans hold the belief he has a get out clause should Cammy go around again next year but that has never been confirmed by either Club or player..

Cammie will play 7 next season , Munster 6 , grant at 9 , Papenhuyzen at 1

But what happens to B.Smith….Bellamy promised him the 9 next year...

Oh I forgot...Harry has developed amazingly well under Madges coaching, that Bellamy is going to go back on his word and treat Harry like the prodgical son and put him straight in the 9,which Harry had no hope of getting this year..
Im glad we have had Harry and that he has done very well while here with us,a credit to Madge, the club and the squad...
Now Melb will get a quality NRL D/H,which they always had but it took a swap deal with us to showcase the kids unbelievable talent for them to now have a replacement for Cammy ready to go....

He was always the Cam replacement . There’s been whispers about him for years . And , QRL folk have been raving about him for years as well.
I’m not sure what youre saying ?

I said in the post that Bellamy promised B. Smith the 9 jumper when Cammy retires..So that's what Im saying and I never heard anywhere that Harry was the replacement for Cammy, I dont read other teams news only the WTs ..he was always 3rd string D/H and I can only go on what I have read..I don't read what Qld folk rave about as well...
The above article says that B Smith has been waiting patiently behind C Smith to be hooker, but now that Harry has proven himself at NRL level due to being here with us it seems he is the talk about town...

There is a couple of other pieces to this puzzle - Jahrome Hughes and Nicho Hynes. I think they can both play at fullback and in the halves. These blokes might become surplus if Smith goes to halfback. I like them both. Would be good backup and could probably force their way into our team. No idea how long they are contracted for though

Nicho Hynes is 24. If he was that good, he’d have been snapped up by now.

Cam Smith is gonna end up the NRL's Tom Brady and play to 45.

He can play on in the NRL until then if he likes if it means we will be able to keep Harry.

I haven't seen anything of Nicho Hynes, but Jahrome Hughes has shown very little imo.

One of Harry’s best assets is his effort plays, always pops up where you need him to. Always chasing kicks, backing up players, scrambling across to make tackles etc. one of the best things a player can have

I was wondering when Brandon Smith comes off contract. I'm tipping him to gave a big game tonight at No.9.

Cam Smith is the GOAT, got to be honest here, someone on here has previously posted that he could play in a dinner suit , the most accurate and funny post for a while.

Cronk needed to play for Storm or Rorters because he needed great players around him.

Grant doesn't... he's a better player than Cronk now as far as I'm concerned.

Yea right.

It would have been good to see how good he would have been at the Titans.

He certainly knew his limitations.

My guess Harry will end up at the Storm in 2021 no matter if Smith retires or plays. The deal was for a 12 month loan and he strikes me as a pretty loyal type of guy. Also I am sure the Storm will upgrade his contract on what they have seen this year. It’s not all doom and gloom, it has allowed Liddle to have a slow and long rehab without the pressure to rush him back. It also means Simkins will be a year older giving his body a better chance to cope with the NRL.

Iam happy to see a Harry continue till the end of the season, than say thanks and goodbye, but if you ever need a new club, gives us a call

Well that's interesting if you think about it
What if he fires
What happens to Harry Grant
They might be testing Brandon over the next few weeks

I think it’s only cos of Munster’s injury.

I agree that we've got some possible great options if Harry goes back to Melb in Simpkins and Liddle.

But him going back may depend on how loyal they've been to him in the past. Have they promised him a starting spot last year, only for Cam to play on? He's 22 and probably should have been playing 1st grade before this based on how good he is. They've effectively damaged his career and reduced his earning potential by delaying his 1st grade career.

He may not want to risk the storm keeping their word of a starting 9 spot if their promises haven't eventuated and Cam kicks on. Brandon Smith is there and is also a quality 9. How could he go back with 2 other quality 9's and feel comfortable in the role?

Sounds like time is short and we won’t be keeping Harry. I just hope we make the most of the time we have with him as a team and make the eight.
