Has anyone bet on us missing goals?

just wondering if anyone has won $ on when the tigers play and bet on the betting option @ TAB "to miss goal/conversion"?

it pays like $3.20 and dont seem to have a goal kicker…

I did last week vs the Sharks for first try. Was devo when the Sharks scored, and then Covell(?) missed it anyway! Was paying $2.75 at sportstab from memory. Figured it was good as money in the bank with the way Benji has been going

Betting against the tigers is the only way to ensure you're not disappointed. If the Tigers win then you're happy, if they lose and you win your bet then it's a good consolation prize!

I don't think it was Covell. I think Porter took the kicks. I was surprised to see the kicker was right footed. I would have thought if he wasn't kicking goals you'd have to seriously consider whether old Luke deserved a spot but that's the Sharks for you!

And yet that knob Phil Rothfield reckons that Covell should play ahead of Blake Ferguson…

Can anyone clarify why Covell left the Tigers? Was he let go, or did he leave for more cash?

A bit of both. Once we signed Hodgson he wasn't get picked in 1st grade since we had a guy who could kick goals just as well as Luke. Without need for his kicking he was fairly low on the totem pole after that - even Covell calls himself the slowest winger in the NRL. So when the Sharks offered him cash I think WT were happy enough for him to try his luck there and to be fair its worked out ok for him.

I also remember there being something about Superboot wanting to remain on the wing and Sheen's wanting to shift him to the backrow???

He was being picked at lock for the reggies. I guess it may have been at Sheens' request but to be honest it probably was his best chance of playing NRL at the Tigers or any other club other than Cronulla.

I think the odds chance depending on the kicker. I imagine the miss goal/conversion would shorten substantially when Benji is lining them up

Seriously I think he is a good kicker but appears very low on confidence in his goal kicking at the moment.
