Has Taumata become the forgotten man?

Does anyone know whats happening in regards to Taumata??
The player that most people on here voted would be our best signing, looks like not getting a run unless there is an injury crisis.
Someone on here has said he's fallen back in to his old ways & has an attitude problem. Is this true?
Or is it as simple as not being up to NRL standard yet?

I know there are a few people here that have gone and watched BRET trial games.Has Taumata played & if he has,has he been any good??
& if anyone saw the first WT trial, was he any good in that game?

Let us know if anyone has any info because he is to talented to be wasting away in state cup

No, they aer keeping him out of the spot light for a while and get him back into it .. hasnt played at this level for a while and will probably be eased back into it.. LOTE is a little different as the Intensity and Level that he has and is playing at will be a bonus..

No he hasnt gone into his old ways…

Taumata played in the Roosters trial for BRET. He did ok but it was obvious he had only a few training sessions with the side. That and it was a true trial in the respect that many positions were chopped and changed.

He missed the second trial with an ankle injury

That and what T-Rexx said

Hopefully he might start to make his mark mid-season if all goes well and force his way into FG. Be nice to see him reach his potential.

Do we know how bad the injury is?

It was a rolled ankle. I know he was due to have scan results come in Monday.

All of the BRET injured list were due doctors reports Monday I believe

it's a long season and hopefully by the end of it he does in fact become a man instead of a drunken fool.
if he puts in the hard work i think he will be looked at for a bench spot a couple of months into the comp.
the calls for first grade this early were a little wishful thinking in my book.

Didn't he play against North Queensland..?

Really …didn't think he would get a start ahead of Marshall, Lui, Moltzen or Lazarus...

If he carves up for BRET it's all good for the Wests Tigers...

in the mx newspaper it said he was the fastest player in the team. thats scary considering we have one of the fastest teams in the comp already

Fullback

thats what i was thinking. play him in a jarrod hayne style position

in 2008 with the dogs in the 5 games he played he carved up big time

5 games 3 tries 2 assists not a bad record

Does anyone know what distance he's deemed to be the fastest player?
40, 50, 100 metres?
these days players get measured for their speed over many different lengths on a football.
fastest in the team is impressive and it'll help him to fit right in when he gets his chance, but i think some clarification would be handy before people start making comparisons to other established players.
over the last few years hasn't Gibbs been the fastest at the 4k run or whatever ength it is that they used to do? but over the short course he wouldn't be as quick as some of the smaller guys.

And don't forget Mcdonnell used to be the "fastest" at the club and he could barely out run a snail once he got the football in his hands, but that's only if he could stay on his feet long enough.

Pretty sure he's quickest over at least 20 metres and 60 metres. Not sure about 100 metres.

I think benji and lawrence would be quickest over 100, they seem to be able to hit top speed and hold it for longer when they are out in the open.
some of the time benji doesn't even look like he's hit top speed.

Taumata was fastest over 30 and 60 meters.
Mataka was the 2nd fastest over 30 and 60 meters.

Lawrence was 3rd or 4th…

Benji wasnt there as he was in NZ
