Well, it's the last time Salford fans will see Hasto play live in the UK. What a ride. But most of all what a guy, from organising a day at Salford for my youngest son Jackson, and always having time for the fans. What a player, what a guy! All the best Jacko! #31

Any worries about him being bad for culture or a bad bloke should be completely forgot about. The fans adore him his team mates love him and even Sheens said he's great to work with.

and as a bonus he hates Cherry Evans.

I hope he’s awesome . And if he supplants brooks , and it’s purely about on field performance/ training , then great . What the fan boys have an issue with , is the narrative that Brooks is the sole reason we lose , and that he’s “never played a good game for us since his first one” .
It’s intellectually dishonest , and borderline trumpian levels of dishonesty .

You stated this AD , you’ve stated this with Hastings , you stated it with Madden . You’re the one who has the issue . It’s basically anyone but brooks for you . And that’s fine . You do you .
But for most of us , I would say it’s “anyone who will lead us to a premiership” . And the “brooks fanboys” arnt yet convinced that doesn’t include Brooks .
It does t and shouldn’t mean hating on everyone else . It’s best man for the job . Not person I’m sick of seeing because I had unrealistic expectations , and that person brings back bad scars everytime I see him .

I completely agree with this. I think I like Doueihi the most but I don't care if we lose him. I just want to win more games.

I don't even have any expectations for Hastings. I'll wait and see how he performs. I want him to be the best player in the comp though and make one of the key spine positions his own.

I think this is the feeling of the majority. However, it's pretty clear there are some people that want Brooks there just because he's a favourite/club junior/crush/whatever and do not want Hastings to show him up.

I want to win more games, and I don't care who is in the halves as long as we're improving.

Same here. I'm used to consistently losing and I'd like to see it turn around.

I don't care what they do to get us there but I don't like panicked emotional reactions. I suppose I say stick with Brooks and Madge because I don't think they are the problem and I definitely don't see why we'd get rid of them rather than ride out their contracts and see what happens.

I like getting younger players and upgrading them appropriately. The problem is that when we've done this in the past we've overpaid and therefore stuffed our cap. I reckon cap management is so important now.

Hardacker looks good doesn't he. You want to see them killing it in ESL to expect them to be good here.

Hastings continues to impress.

Gildart though, he’s got some good parts to his attack but very ordinary defensively. I don’t see anything that would put him ahead of Talau and Roberts unfortunately. He’s like a more experienced version of Pauga.

So, here's hoping he is a better player than what he showed when he was in the NRL.

Tbh I think that’s a given…he was awful in his first stint

He’s playing out of position at fullback. Been their best player all year

He is doing a great job there considering he is slower then most fullbacks and his preferred position is halves.. He is just a footy player and you can see he understands the game and loves been involved.. I think he will do wonders to our on field Leadership next year..

On-field footy nous is something we desperately need. I hope he plays great too, but the smarts alone will improve the team.

Watching it now, Hastings looks good. I know it’s ESL but he seems to have a good kicking and passing game. He’s also constantly screaming which is what we need on the field.

He’s not going to become a better player by putting on our jersey in a much tougher competition.
