I'm watching Wigan vs Hull now. It's half time but Hastings looks pretty good. Gildart also has something in attack but he missed an easy tackle.

What position is Jacko playing....fb,or in the halves...

Halfback. He's got something to his game. He is a big halfback. He is always creating something and heavily involved.


Watched the game as well, really liked Hasting's involvement. Always looking for opportunities, think he will do well.

Gildart on the other hand....really didn't fill me with much confidence, looks exactly like what we already have. Makes some basic errors and is a liability in defence. Hope Im wrong.

Gildart to me looks like he has some class in attack but his defense looks terrible.

No wonder we signed him…..

Yeah I agree what a legend, possibly the smallest player in the modern era? But definitely one of the toughest. Sad to see what he's been going through.

had a quick look this morning, Oli was much better defensively. just gets caught sometimes being up and out of the line, but I think its a force of habit to try and push the attackers inside. Maumalo should follow him in if we use an up & in style defence, if we slide and scramble he might get caught out.

didn't see too much early ball but on the one time he did, he scored. few probing runs out of dummy half, finds his front and his awareness is good, dived on a loose ball and seems to know where the ball is going. given his luck with injuries we just need him to spend more time out there. very much a work in progress but the signs are there.

Watching it now, Hastings looks good. I know it’s ESL but he seems to have a good kicking and passing game. He’s also constantly screaming which is what we need on the field.

Gildart’s not good.

Gildard saw very little ball. Can’t see that he did wrong.
Rep player and has speed and is elusive when given the chance. I watched him over the few seasons and he is just back from serious injury so it will take little time to regain his confidence. Not sure why people are putting the line through him. I’ll reserve my judgement until such time as I see him on the field in our colours.
