Wasn't a gf last year a similar score lol

SL is weird

Not far off last week Panthers Eels 8-6

Classy speech, acknowledging his previous faults by saying he'll return a much better man than when he arrived at the club...and thanked the club for that.
Will be a big plus for us hopefully

He's definitely coming back to the NRL a much more mature minded lad. Seems pretty humble these days which is a great quality to have.

No question he's matured, and owned his past. To be honest I couldn't care less if he was a bit of a goose in the 18-21 age bracket, I was a total idiot at that age. In recent years he has been faultless off the field and a star on it. Honestly can't wait for him to join us, he is just what we need.

People were gooey over LM as well when it looked we were signing him. He was a great guy because he was going to Taree and helping fight fires. Being a good guy doesn’t win you football games. Let’s see how if he’s good enough to handle the step up in 2021.

Trell wasn't going there to fight fires, he was just snacking on the crispy wildlife available.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what Hastings can do. The Wigan fan clearly love him and he seems to give his all. We need more players with this type of attitude and desire

Hastings will determine whether or not we come bottom 2-3. Everything else is pretty much a known commodity - he's the only uncertain factor with the potential to be a big influence. Other unknowns like Gildart play center so he won't be as influential

Are you okay? You seem upset that someone is trying to be positive.

Sorry to hear that. Hope things get better.

Hastings has a big mouth and that’s what we need. Him and Brooks will undoubtably start the season together in which case Hastings just needs to make himself heard and develop himself into a leader in the NRL. I yearn for the first time him and Doueihi play in the halves together

That’s where I’m hoping Hastings can make a difference. He’s no better than Brooks at kicking, passing, running and tackling but he is a lot smarter IMO.

We’ve had games this year with players confused about what’s going on, sometimes no dummy half. We need more leaders to scream at people and tell them where to go.

Doesn’t matter what number they have on their back, Hastings to control and Brooks to be run first and eyes up

I have not been excited about Hastings coming and Im still not. I have also been very negative and concerned about all the "he's a great guy" media after being burned by "great guy" Josh Reynolds.

But he does actually seem to be a genuinely good guy. Hope he is and I hope he contributes to our club.

or Hastings and Brooks start the season well and we are winning then what, some on hear will be in a panic as the pin up boy Douhie has to come back at 6 or bust.
Don't change a winning team fit Douhie in at centre or lock

I thought it was because he heard the wts were interested in him. So he thought surely Lee & Justin won't be so desperate as to follow him into a fire zone. They were.

Since his JF days, I always thought Doueihi was a ball playing lock.

Jackson Hastings seems like the ultimate project player. Incredible talent, but not well socialised. No wonder he had a bit of a tough time in his first NRL stint.

All rugby league players at youth levels are drilled on character, and what character traits are required to make it as a professional rugby league player. He must have been missing a large number of those traits, therefore he didn't "fit in". My guess why he didn't have them - something to do with his old man.

I take it he has worked on himself as a person. Hopefully he has done enough mental health work to know not to accept the bad influences back into his life. Because that is always how a person like him regresses (too much trust in his friends, can easily be led astray).

Can't wait till he outplays Brooks in his first game and continues to do so for his entire time at the Tigers.
