I’ve come to the possible realisation that Brooks actually doesn’t care anymore. Constantly when the media talk about our players that are just happy to be footballers is the quote they use, I think Brooks is one of them. He’s the highest paid player at the club and for whatever reason is un droppable so I think he is past the point of caring. I’d say I fear for his mental health but it must be something different because no player who really cares about footy would be happy to get berated every year by the fans and the media. He no longer has Instagram so he can’t see much on there, so I am of the full belief Luke just does not give a shit. Even if he were dropped I’d be surprised to see him go somewhere else, I think he’d be stoked making all that money on the bench.

Maybe we try Hastings at 7, Doueihi at 6, and Brooks plays the 14 role resting our hooker, and or, coming on as a 13 - - or a second halfback, as the 13 position is fast becoming in attack.
I don't mind the idea of an extra half - Bellamy is ahead of the rest and he has been doing something similar this season. Watch Harry and B.Smith playing together, they actually run the plays and dictate direction in attack while Hughes and Munster play eyes up and kick. Then they have Hynes/Paps on the field as well - so many ball players and guys who can lead the play. This is what makes them so good (besides the quality finishers and tough forward pack).

My point is that the old style rugby league is exactly that... specific roles and numbers for positions is a thing of the past. At the WTs if it's not a one out forward hitting it up, it's Brooks at first receiver nearly every play - there are no other options, every play is broadcasted and easily read.

I reckon Sheens will have some real interesting ideas on how to play the game these days.

He never was in the past, always changing with the game or changing the game.

Im of the same opinion.

Seen or heard nothing out of his mate showing any passion at all for this club or his role.

Brooks has good skills and his defence is strong.

He fundamentally lacks descission making ability in the game.

If Brooks is still at the club it will be good viewing when Hastings abrasive personality is introduced ? This is the key to this relationship this is exactly what’s needed someone that will get in your face !

Brooks has made his position untenable.

Got the fans off side now.

How? He’s had the fans offside for years. Why now all of a sudden is he untenable?
