For persisting with Lui and Ryan and Fulton, for his use of the interchange, and for helping a great set of players believe in themselves. Through injuries and personell conflict, again, for mine, coach of the year.

Love that he coaches this team, and that he knows a LOT more about footy than any of us.

Absolutely right suzie q. A LOT more.

Earlier this season, I admit, I thought the time had come, as did many in this forum. Timmy, I will eat humble pie this week at Shark Park. Thanks for making me wrong

Yes have to agree here - credit where credit is due. I have been one of his critics in recent years, who believed he was getting too stale within our club, but he has surprised me no end with what he has achieved, so far, this year. Like a looming Melbourne Cup winner, he has this team peaking at just the right time.

A man to be admired not ridiculed. This man has done what noone else could have done. Taken a basket case of a club and turned it into the envy of all clubs. Well done Tim you have copped it long and hard but you have remained focus and all credit to you. We can never thank you enough for what you have done and the immense pride you have brought to us all.

May success continue for many years to come!

I totally agree with tiger05, he is the best thing to happen to this club. Just thinking about when Terry Lamb was coaching us the whole club was a mess. We have come a long way.

I think Sheens and Bellamy will be the two coaches up for the Coach of the Year award

while i think sheens and bellamy have done great jobs this year no doubt. i personally think griffin form the broncs will get it. he took over the job just before the season with a young squad and they are among the heavyweights to win the comp this year

Benji Marshall is the best thing to ever happen to this club. Finding him was like striking gold or winning lotto. However considering the way Sheens has nurtured Marshall, and kept belief and faith in him in tough times, it's difficult to imagine Marshall the contented and brilliant Tigers player he is today.

Sheens has been great for this club. The brand of football, the stability on and off the field, the respect the players have for him. We were a laughing stock and a mess of a football club when he arrived with a shocking roster of extremely average players. His first 3 years in charge were brilliant in terms of identifying our youngsters, signing quality experienced players and building the platform for success (Which happened before anyone could have imagined) After We lost Prince it left us in a big hole and I feel he lost his way there for a few years. Even Farah said he himself was depressed at the mediocrity the club was treading in after the 2008 season. However since then, Sheens and the whole club raised the ambition. Chasing quality players like Ellis, Tuqiri, Blair. Re-signing all of our quality first graders. Getting rid of some of the dead wood.

Definetly at times I thought Sheens was stale and the place needed a change. The ends to season 2007 and 2008 were that of a coach struggling for answers. I reckon over 80% of Tigers fans have thought that way at one time or another. maybe even some of the players have thought that at times? However the past 2 seasons have been great with the initial signs of a revival at the back end of 2009\. We are finally becoming that powerhouse we always hoped to be. Now is the time to be greedy and play in 5 straight finals series and win a 2nd premiership. All the ingredients are in place. The main thing is after 9 years in charge, that Wests Tigers spirit seems to be stronger then ever, there playing for each other. If that continues he can stay for another 9 years.

well said Eddie, he has redefined the club and is taking another direction after this year, although not as drastic as some may have thought! Taking us one game shy of a grand final last year and on the verge of a top 4 spot this year and a lot of people must be looking at their comments at the beginning of the season and cringing! As Tigers fans we have to know by now not to jump to conclusions…there is a master plan!

Yes, there is a master plan. However there was no apparent plan from 2007-2009\. We were treading water during those years. Sheens might not have survived at other clubs, I suppose it is a credit to the board fro sticking with him. Although i'm sure there paitence was tested.

Let's not forget the most important thing here. The best thing that has happened since 2005 is the love affair formed between Tim Sheens and Bug. It is now at legendary status! There was a time I was convinced Tim Sheens would do things on purpose just to send Bug cuckoo!
