Have we spent most of "The Benji Money''

People keep on saying we will go on a shopping spree in 2014-15 with all the money Benji left us with by him going. But we have Re-signed and Bought alot of players.
Re-signed/Bought for 2014: Blake Austin,Dene Halatau,Keith Lulia ,Cory Paterson,Pat Richards,Jarred Farlow,Robbie Farah,Nathan Brown, Mitchell Moses,Luke Brooks,Kurtis Rowe,Andy Fiagatusa,Michael Bullock,Asipeli Fine,Joel Luani,Kyle Lovett, Liam Fulton,Keith Galloway,James Gavet,Tim Simona and alot of younger kids from SG ball,Gio cup,Under 20's,And some of the other lesser known comps. And most of the guys we re-signed will probably retire after their contracts are finished so they probably got big money for their contracts.
And we have only lost Blake Ayshford,Matt Groat,Benji Marshall,Jacob,Miller Eddy Pettybourne,Joel Reddy,Brenden Santi,Shaun Spence,Lote Tuqiri.
And i bet the only ones that left us with some money to spend Where Marshall and Ayshford.
The rest probably got under 200-250k a year. Which with the new salary cap rise is not much…

Yes well played Tigersman and in addition to all these new signings we also have another talented bunch coming from Keebra Park who are into the schoolboys final.Im thinking our nsw cup team will be bloody stronger next year.

Nah it was in an article that we will have 1 million in the cap for season 2015 which means we can sign a big name player next year for the 2015 season.

Horrible idea IMO, he hasn't played NRL for 2 years and no back is worth 500k a season unless they're in the superstar class of fullbacks (slater, inglis)

Hopoate wouldn't make much sense as we don't have a massive need, don't get me wrong he'd add to the side, but we don't need to waste half a mill when we have a young exciting backline like ours.

For me Hopoate would be a short term solution if we were making a premiership run next year, I don't see him being a long term clubman. Although I could be wrong.

both would be worth close 2 1 mil…. maybe not slater anymore as he's old. but if he was 2-3 years younger definitely

It was in the smh it was a few days after Benji Marshall confirmed his leaving our ceo said we will have 1 million in the cap for the 2015 season because he is leaving. And then he said we will use his money to recruit a big name signing for the 2015 season.

I remember reading that from Mayer, something like a forecasted $1m free for 2015.

That was the plan, but I guess things can change.
