No, I have never embraced the joint venture, and never will. Once a Magpie, always a Magpie. What ever happened to dad's passing their team onto their kids, and it flowing through generations. Well sorry guys, my dad never supported Wests Tigers, and as such, I don't either. Why would the NRL kill teams off….. you cant make people change clubs overnight. That's why the NRL is dying. Tens of thousands supporters (Wests, Balmain, Norths, Illawarra etc) do not attend, or care about rugby league now. Who cares if young children will be heartbroken about the Wests Tigers dying. They will only have supported them for 5 - 13 years approx. What about us, who were supporters for anywhere from 30 - 80 years. NRL should have kept every club as it was, and created a second division with promotion and relegation. Everybody keeps their loyalty and tradition, and it creates excitement. Makes teams fight all season to stay in Division 1\. Parramatta can play woeful for 5 seasons straight, and we all know they will be back again next year. A-League has already taken over NRL, and will only get stronger.
