Yoss,

I made the Ivan Cleary thread in August.

You said Gus was Zero chance of bringing him back and zero chance he left the Tigers for 2019 anyway.

So I'm a little worried you declared Hayne "zero chance" of coming to the Tigers.

I can only go by what people tell me. If you choose not to believe me that's up to you.

As for IC I was told he hated Gould and wouldn't work with him. Obviously his desire to coach his son was greater than his dislike of Gus.

Its cool I believe you.

I have just seen people in threads stomping their feet saying that it is impossible.

Never will Robbie Farah return to the Tigers - laughable (Wrong)

Ivan Cleary wont ditch us to go back to Gus (Wrong)

I have learnt anything is possible in Rugby League.

Its like in horse racing when you get inside info. It helps for sure. However sometimes its nothing more then a ripped uppeice of paper at the end of it all.

I try to be clear and differentiate between opinions I get from people on subjects and things that have actually happened.

As for Hayne you can write your own ticket on him being at WT for several reasons.

I could have wrote my own ticket about Farah and Cleary I would be up millions from some on here.

May as well back up on Hayne. Nothing to lose.

What about Hayne playing wing on a winger's salary (<$400k)… He played the last few months at Parra on the wing.

Also, he mentioned the word 'West' about a dozen times on the Fox Sports interview. Maybe he was hinting/hoping that someone would listen...

I don't think Farah was that unlikely once J Taylor went. Cleary, meh. He obviously felt it was worth working with someone he hated.

I wouldn't mind this idea for 300k-350k 1 year deals only though

I heard that interview and there is NO WAY it was accidental. he is either Tigers bound or hoping for it. I heard that interview on the BSB and even TK said "Surely that means he is going to the Tigers." Add that to his sprint coach saying "He has changed, I think you will see him back with the **_eye of the Tiger_** worries me and excites me in equal measures.

I dont overly like the guy. I think he is the ultimate big head and not much between the ears. But he is a game breaker, a lot of talent, I believe he would break games open for us next year - something we haven't had for a while. An X-factor on his day and I would pay a little more to see what he could do for us. Rest assured, Maguire isn't a coach who accepts mediocrity and I think he could bring the best out of Hayne.

Eels forum saying he's re-signed with them and will be announced on Tuesday.

Ho hum , I would have had him but not to worry , let's see if some of us were right , Hayne to go well 2019

That's not the question though, is it?
1\. Would he play well enough to justify the roughly 800k it would have taken us to get him?
2\. Would he come over to play centre/winger, because we don't need a fullback?

I agree that he'll probably do well next year. He looked sharp at the end of the season. But if I had to choose between spending decent money on him or a good prop, I'd go the prop.

What's the point of paying top dollar for a centre when they hardly see the ball? I honestly think centre has been underutilized too much these days. All these wrap plays and fancy moves does not give centres the chance to have a go. Remember gidley and tahu? They were lethal when given early ball, ditto latrell Mitchell. Apart from ingles and latrell no centre should be over 500-600k park. Parramatta are paying jenning s 800k this year. No wonder they are a mess.
